Because they don't realize that we just might have the best coach in CFB. After he wins a couple Natty's everyone will come around.
It's no surprise that when the SEC wanted to send 2 coaches to speak to Congress for the SEC and CFB, they chose Saban and Kelly.

Member when another coach was winning at another Mississippi school and then went on to a major program where he should have been able to dominate that division of the SEC if he had in fact been a good coach but yet he failed miserably and was fired.

Coaches can get better over time. Plenty of successful ones, whom failed at prior jobs.

Plenty were “successful” at smaller programs and failed miserably at larger ones.
Look, Kiffin probably wouldn’t be a disaster of a hire. He could probably even win a championship here (after all, we had a bumbling idiot shrimp boat captain win one here so thinking Kiffin could too ain’t a stretch) But he ain’t the type to build a dynasty type program. A Kiffin run LSU would probably look a lot like an Orgeron run program but maybe without the complete collapse at the end.
