Who’s talking shite? I know a lot of Tulane people and most of them usually need to be reminded that Tulane has an athletics department at all

Well,I'd rather play Tulane than New Mexico,UAB, Georgia State or Georgia Southern.

I wouldn’t. In the off chance we lose a game like that, I’d rather it not be against an in-state G5. There’s nothing for LSU to gain by playing them.

Otherwise they'll use a close game against LSU as a recruiting tool. I don't want to help them get better.

Yeah some kid will take a ULL or Tulane scholarship over an LSU scholarship because they only lost by 15. Where do you stupid fricks come from?

I would rather play Tulane, ULL, or Tech over Georgia State, Central Michigan, Southern, Grambling etc....
Southern or Grambling would be perfect Week 1 practice games to work the kinks out. Halftime would be entertaining as well.

Step it up in Week 2 with Tulane and then a Florida State type in Week 3.

Frick all that UAB/New Mexico "Sisters of the Poor" BS in the second to last game of the season.

Hoping the NEW SEC will put all the SOTP at the beginning of the season, then play all Conference games in a row..........

Tulane beat USC, for Pete's sake. They beat K State, who played the best football in the country before running afoul of Saban and Bama in the Sugar.

It's certainly possible they could have beat LSU.

People cheer for Bama in bowl games too. People can’t be trusted.

I would love to play Tulane every once in a while in NOLA. Last year for the FSU game was a great trip for our group. Every 3 year or so would be nice. 3 games in Tiger Stadium, 1 in NOLA.

There aren't really any major teams in the state that qualify. Who would they play that are on the same level?

Don't think the people that say LSU should play in-state schools more often are looking for opponents that are at LSU's level. They would just rather them play UL, ULM, Tulane... before they schedule Georgia State, Army, Rice, S. Alabama... In other words, find in-state opponents that are at least at the same level as these smaller out-of-state schools.

I do like the November non-conference game that breaks up the season a little and allows the teams sort of a reset after their big games.

Over 80 percent of Tulane students are from out of state. Would rather that money going to students from the state if we talking about keeping money in the state.

Wait!! You meanna tell me that the money is going directly to the students who are then sending it home like immigrants?

I always say we should play Tulane
why?

The Tulane "rivalry" was due to them being in the SEC. But they left the SEC in the mid 60s.

And they weren't good then: Tulane did not win more than one SEC game in any season from 1957-65.

In the LSU-Tulane "rivalry," LSU has won the last 18 games going back to 1983, all but two were by double digits, with many huge blowouts. And we crushed them when they were in the SEC 60+ years ago.

We gain nothing by playing Tulane.

Depends upon where the game had been played. If it had been in the Superdome, with about 80% Tulane fans, LSU would likely have lost.

That’s wrong

We have been playing Tulane since the 1800s. We were played them for over 30 years before the SEC was founded.

They were literally the first game we ever played.

Compared to New Mexico or USB I’d rather play Tulane.

Rather play tulane or USL than UAB or some other out of state tomato can

This.

And these instate schools have tons of instate players. These players have their instate brothers, cousins, coaches, etc. coming to support them. Just gives us even more exposure to our instate pipeline.

There is a risk we lose once though and that would fricking suck
