Announced and hired are two different days. No one is privy to the date he accepted the job except for a very tight circle of friends. Therefore, the original post is not factual and it is plausible he accepted the job before Coach Johnson was hired.

Jay said publicly for the first time on AFR that they were one day apart. Yeskie got hired a day before Jay. Jay called anyway, but it was too late. Yeskie was his first choice. Jay’s happy to have him here now.

Not much on the portal yet. Talked to several guys today and pretty much everyone that can be drafted plans to sign if drafted. Now how much of that changes when they are offered a tank of gas, a snickers and a large coke?

Yeskie was hired by Schloss prior to JJ taking the LSU job. JJ asked him to come with him but it was too late. Yeskie was his first call.
