We 10 run ruled them the game he pitched against us. Probably wouldn’t have been a good idea.

Cause jay Johnson doesn't allow his players to swing at every fastball at the letters

He had only pitch 28.2 innings this season coming into today’s game

He was out like 2 months for injury

He pitched an amazing game today against a team that couldn't hit his fastball. But that doesn't mean he pitches like this every game. I think his ERA for this year was hovering around 5.00

where do you fans come from??????????

No, because according to the Major League Baseball Rulebook, one of the conditions of being credited with a save is that the pitcher in question “is not the winning pitcher.” [rule 10.20 (2)]

Yes I see now. Doesn't make sense at all to me. It never happens these days bc no one pitches complete games anymore. It shouldn't matter if it is a new person coming in or not. A save is a save is a save. Up by 3 runs or less and close it out, it shouldn't matter that a new person comes in to "replace" the pitcher. It makes more sense that it just fits the 3 runs and under definition. The starting pitcher is saving the game.

This right here. Ill bet that Murray struck out at least 10 times if not more at the letters.

When people say "that's baseball," part of what that encompasses is an average to slightly above average pitcher looking like a Cy Young winner for one game against your team,

That was by far the best game that guy has pitched in his life, and may be the best he has ever thrown.

Thank God he's burned for the next several days. He saved a lot of bullpen arms today.

You're thanking God that he saved a lot of bullpen arms when his team is in the same bracket as LSU?

Are you positing that Murray State and LSU are at the same talent level in the batter's box?

When we played against him last month he made it 2 innings and gave up 4 earned runs. This was a fluke against Murray State.

This is baffling me how many of yall literally don’t remember what LSU did to Gage Wood in their 3 game series lmao.

Do some of yall have short term memory loss?
