We make the Auburn coaching fiascos look like a well-oiled machine compared to us.

Everything up to now is speculation, because there is nothing concrete. There cant be. Arkansas is on the verge of a good hire, Auburn has their guy locked up already. Because thats what you do. You get it fricking done.

Catastrophe Syndrome.

Calm down and take some deep breaths.

Everything here is exactly what you say: speculation and of course, everyone has a source.

Take a step back from the ledge and let it play out.

Agree 100%. They had to know BK wasn’t going to take that deal. And if they had something on him, they should have led with that.

Ladies and Gents, I present to you the “typical” LSU fan.

These are obviously the same people making decisions in BR

Careful, he's gonna hit you with the "well if I was bad at my job they'd fire me and I wouldn't get another penny!"

You do realize Kelly has gone completely scorched earth and is the only source saying this right?

He has been given two offers and has not countered, after saying he was open to negotiation. Take a closer look at those offers, they were fair for someone that actually planned to follow the original contract (to work after LSU if he gets fired). It’s pretty clear to me he is trying to get more than the original contract by putting LSU in a spot they were trying to avoid.

He put more thought and fight into this than he ever did on the field.

If you didn’t hate him before, you should now.

We know demonstrably that Louisiana, by any metric, is one of, if not the worst, states in the Union.

Then why are you on an LSU message board, fricktard? Go back to that utopia in your mom's basement and quit talking to us lowlifes from America's shithole.

Two programs with multiple National Championships and SEC Championships, right?

You guaranteed him the money. In writing. Regardless of his performance. Period.

This is just flat out not true. All of you “pay the man” folks are just as bad as the “he shouldn’t get anything” people. Zero understanding of nuance.

He wants a settlement, not what is in his contract. He just doesn’t give a shite about collateral damage.

This is beyond retarded. That's not how contracts or life actually works. You must work in retail or fast food.

Florida hired Billy Napier at the same time LSU hired Brian Kelly. BK went 34-14 while Napier went 22-23. Yet somehow Florida is paying Napier what they agreed to pay him without any circus show to try and get out of it.

Napier's buy out is less than half of what Kelly's buyout is. If Woodward had opened up the check book and over paid Kelly we wouldn't be here now.

Of course he does and so does LSU.

Nobody is going to take a settlement at roughly half what is owed though.

Reports he countered at $43million, which is high, but that is how negotiations work.

All of this will blow over and they will reach a number both can stomach.

LSU made a shitty contract and seems to be bumbling the firing and negotiations. Kelly was a shitty coach that did not give the effort expected.

It is all around bad deal.

Crawl back under your rock. Were you happy with the teams performance? Do you care that it was going to cost LSU millions in sales? This was the right choice for the future of Tiger Football.

Little lying Landry made it real public. He couldn’t hold his tongue in the moment

Had to make a comment about trump picking the coach
No more buyouts
No more agents
More accountability

All this stuff should be kept behind the scenes

Sports media is filled with bias. Lots of the people holding the microphone have loyalties to other schools- some of which- are also hiring coaches…

You keep saying this while ignoring the fact that LSU can easily say "we will abide by the contract, you were fired without cause, please start looking for a new job immediately to offset the monthly buyout we are paying." They obviously haven't done that yet, so they're entertaining a settlement as well.
