Casanova may have achieved the most but that was before they let black people play. He wouldn’t be able to play corner in today’s game.

You really are stupid and ignorant aren’t you?

Here’s Gatewood the Notre Dame College Football Hall of Famer Casanova shut down.

Tre White has continued to improve year after year.

It’s amazing. I don’t Even think he has peaked yet.

He’s no where close to even being in this conversation his Jr year, then jumps to late First Round his Sr year and now he’s one of the best CBS in the NFL.

If I recall correctly, TC held Tom Gatewood to 1 reception in the 28-8 ND game in TS.

The 1970 game at Notre Dame according to Sports Illustrated LINK:

"There was LSU's defense, unscored upon by rushing in 11 straight games, and Notre Dame's offense, built around the skitterish (Joe) Theismann and the fluid (Tom) Gatewood, which was first in all the land.

And when Notre Dame finally threw, as they had to, there was Tommy Casanova, LSU's superathlete, "playing in my jockstrap" as Gatewood put it. Casanova held Gatewood, the nation's No. 2 receiver, to only four catches for 21 yards."

Stingley on his way to take the mantle however.

Corey Webster was an absolute weapon at CB

Very good corner. Not in the same league with Peterson. Webster personally gave away two football games - mIowa and Arkansas. Patrick Peterson gave away zero. That’s ZERO!

Stingley has the chance to be the best to ever do it in college football history.

No, he doesn’t. Stingley does not have the God-given talent to compare to Deion Sanders. No one does. If Stingley improves, as I suspect he will, he can be as good as Patrick Peterson, Charles Woodson, and Champ Bailey, which are three of the group tied for second behind Sanders.

Patrick Peterson is the greatest corner in the history of LSU football. You’ll see a lot of fans on here saying otherwise, but you will not find an NFL coach saying otherwise.

Stingley will be
His play at end of the season was as impressive as I’ve seen against a veteran qb in Fromm, and ou and clemsons best wr’s

With that said Mullen was going after him in Florida game and he got beat early in game but at end he made some huge plays including that end zone pick
Why Mullen didn’t run it on 3rd and one instead of throwing pick was mystifying and is typical of his dumb play calling at a crucial part of game

Stingley didn’t give up a catch until like 6 games into his freshman season while starting day 1

He’s the only answer

A lot of that was due to ST play.

I say Patrick Peterson, although I though Corey Webster was damn good in 2003. However, Stingley will leave here as #1.

All true statements, but it wasn't for being a cover corner. Now if the question is who was the best playmaker ever, then he would be the correct choice.
