Jaray Jenkins, Trey Palmer, and Jontre Kirklin are all upper classmen. Koy Moore has starting experience but doesn’t strike me as a dominant talent yet. Seems similar to 2018 when we had one legit WR in Justin Jefferson even though he only had 1 catch prior to that season. And then we had a bunch of upper classmen like Dee Anderson, S.Sullivan, D.Dillon and an incoming transfer in J.Giles who hadn’t proven anything in the SEC. J.Chase and Marshall were the true freshmen in 2018. Chase was really the #2 WR by year end that season.

Who is your #2 WR in 2021 in yards, catches and TDs by year end?

I would like it to be Palmer. He's dangerous as hell with the ball in his hands.

in terms of catches, if Gilbert doesnt play, I think Koy Moore, or potentially Jack Bech

I think it’ll be one of the freshmen or Jenkins

I wouldn’t be surprised if it isn’t one of the freshmen.

I dont Think Jenkins are Kirklin amazed me against the starters.

We desperately need a second target after Boutte. He’s amazing but our QBs lock into him too much.

He's the best, IMO. Kirklin is the other option. But, if Jenkins takes a step forward he's an NFL WR, IMO.

Jaray Jenkins will absolutely break out this year and shock a lot of people. Sorry to say this, but Jack Bech won’t see the field that much especially it’s Gilbert most likely coming back, and Kole Taylor taking up another TE spot. Koy Moore will start to come into his own as well. But look at the freshman class of WRs. It’s extremely deep with Hilton, Thomas, Nabers and Smith. As for Palmer, he’s had 3 years to show me what he can do and it’s been nothing to get me excited about honestly. Same with Kirklin. It will probably look like this by end of year.

WR1: Boutte
WR2: Jenkins
WR3: Moore/Hilton/Thomas Jr.
TE1: Gilbert
RB1: Kiner

I agree, unless he is #1.

Moore needed to improve his hands, and Palmer, route running. To his credit, the report is that Moore is the hardest worker of the bunch.

I'm so excited to see him play. Maybe it's just because I saw him play vs Catholic the last two years. But, he looks like he's gonna be a monster for us. He's definitely physically ready now so I could see this happening.

Doubtful

The problem with our RB last year was a lack of holes to run through and a boring run game.

Hopefully Peetz fixes that.

Jack Bech becomes more of a threat than Kole Taylor the first time they step foot on the practice filed

I really liked what I saw from Kirkland in the spring game. Jenkins really is a gamer though.

Hilton is going to be a really good player for us. I hope he gets a shot like Boutte got last year.

I went back and watched a ton of last years games ,trying to decide on who could fill the roll.

If you go back and watch the recievers specifically and watch for who stands out just based on potential and athleticism, koy moore will impress you more that you remember.

His route running ,quick twitch athleticism, and natural hands stuck out on film moreso than anyone not named marshall or boutte.jenkins, kirklin, and palmer all looked good as well ,but koy looked different and really jumped off the screen when he had the ball in his hands.

Palmer is pretty damn athletic as well though.
Jenkins is just tough and strong.. hes like a dirt poor man's josh Reed or maybe even a slower less athletic jamar chase. They had similar styles iirc ,josh was shorter than chase but just that shorter but stronger and jump out the gum
