The number 2 wide receiver at the end of 2021 will be Jack Bech with Deion Smith at a close number 3.

Followed by Jaray Jenkins and Devonta Lee.

Arik Gilbert is a tight end.

Sorry to say this, but Jack Bech won’t see the field that much especially it’s Gilbert most likely coming back,

It would be stupid to move Jack Bech to tight end. He is too damn good at wide receiver to screw him up and wasting him by trying to make him into a tight end. It would be like trying to fit a round peg in a square hole, it will never work.

Jack Bech becomes more of a threat than Kole Taylor the first time they step foot on the practice filed

If they move him to tight end they are screwing up. He's too good of a wide receiver to try to make into a tight end. Take advantage of him the way he is. As he is already awesome.

I think him and Jack Bech are the two most college ready.

Jaray #2 WR

I think you are right to start the season. However, by the end of the season, he'll be passed up by either Jack Bech or Deion Smith or both of them.

It’s basically the same thing a WR would do with a little more blocking. He’d basically be a big slot WR. It’s fine

I think a better question is which freshman receiver will get the most snaps and which freshman will get the most catches? 5 legit dudes in Hilton Smith BTJ Nabers and Bech!!

I’d love for it to be Palmer. Hopefully, he steps it up.

Palmer does good things when he gets the ball.

It’s frustrating that he can’t get in the field more.

Jaray Jenkins in a shortened season with some choppy QB play was a 400 yd guy. In a complete season he would have gone for 600-700 receiving yards. Don’t underestimate him.

I’ll say Jenkins; he made some impressive plays and should make strides with an actual offseason.

Let’s pump the MFing breaks on Gilbert. Can’t rely on him so shouldn’t build too much around him.

This is such a tough question, because it could literally be 1 of about 8 maybe even 9 guys in my mind. Every year when someone says a freshman will end up being #2 I laugh because it almost never happens here under normal circumstances, but this year, with boutte really being the only guy who has stepped up so far and the freshmen class being absolutely loaded, I really think we could have a freshman end up being 2nd in yards and/or maybe even catches too.

I really think the freshman class purely talent wise can bring more to the table than Kirklin, Moore and Jenkins can. Question is how fast can they pick things up IMO. I left Palmer out because I really really like that dude's talent but somewhere in his head he just holds himself back too much and it causes some bad lapses with his hands and playing very passively.
