Wait, are you trying to argue that playing at home in Death Valley in one of the hardest environments for opponents to play in could be...an advantage?

Bold take...

According to the rant the advantage is nullified, because the game is at 2:30. They prefer games that start at night, so they can leave them early.

I really do think the 2:30 kick may play in our favor.

Bama players for past 20 years have seemed to really relish the idea of playing in TS at night and seemed to get equally amped as we were for the game.

Historically it hasn't. Alabama has won the matchup 59.5% of the time at home and has won the matchup 70.7% of the time when it is at Tiger Stadium or on a neutral field.

Best chances we have generally had are in their stadium. I hope this year proves to be the exception to that.

while I do think the crowd will make a difference, i do for different reasons than most.

I was in my seats when GA scored, and the chant of "LSU" started. Then LSU scored and ultimately won that game. Never seen the corwd make a bigger difference.

the bama QB had troubles with the Tenn crowd. This is the actual reason home field adavantage will be a real thing this coming weekend.

Obviously these are different teams, but homefield hasn't been much of an advantage for LSU in this game over the last nearly 20 years.

As always, the talent is equitable but LSU can't get into their own heads and make the game bigger than it is.

Play to win, don't try and get fancy.

It seems like any "home field advantage" flies out the window in games between LSU and Alabama. LSU is only 5-23-1 vs Alabama in Tiger Stadium since 1964. LSU has performed better against the Tide on the road in the same time frame, with a nearly .500 winning % in games played in Tuscaloosa and Birmingham.

Historically, for LSU, playing at Bama has been better.

LSU had also never beaten Auburn by more than like 13 points or something like that, at Auburn. This isn't the same LSU, and this isn't the same Alabama.

Thanks for educating us. No one on here had a clue. How do you think the game will go, I seriously want to know what you think? Will LSU win? Will they cover?

Bama usually kicks our arse in home night games so I’m happy to see 2:30

The facts, I have been a Tiger fan for over 50 years. Bama always plays their best game in BR at TS. LSU will have to play exceptional to beat Bama this weekend. For some reason Bama loves to play at TS. Our chances are at 50/50 we win. Cautiously optimistic. It is just the facts. We will have to play our best game. Defense better show up. They have been lights out at home.

Well... since Alabama is favored and ranked higher it seems likely to help LSU. Especially the 2:30 start. the Tigers play up to their ability I believe we can beat anyone no matter where we play but the home field advantage this week and next week are going to be important to getting in the playoffs.
...Just say'in.....
