Well it was tough for him to pull one shitty guy just to plug another shitty guy in 
Lee and Jefferson are the 2 worst LSU QBs in a long time. They each have this year to redeem themselves so we will see what happens I guess. Personally, I'd rather just usher in the Mettenberger era

my only problem with this statemnet is.. I, nor you, nor anyone esle here has seen JLEE play enough to say that he WILL suck as bad as JJ did last year, given the same playig time.
Gotta compare apples to apples.
COming in on a limited, backup role is not the same as playing/preparing for the majority of snaps as the starter week in and week out.
Its not.,, Til he does that and we see what he does, Im not going along with this Lee sucks as bad as JJ thought pattern.

ok, maybe he doesn't suck as bad. he just sucks he still makes all the same mistakes he has always made. when he gets into games he makes one fantastic play and 3 boneheaded ones. Neither of these guys are capable of leading us to an undefeated season. Might as well start Mettenberger and take our lumps and get the QB of the future some time. If this guy can possibly play worse than Jefferson and Lee we have a real shitty situation on our hands.

Im still holding judegement on JLEE until I see him prepare all week and have a game where he is the undisputed starter.. Hell I may even give him 2 weeks.
If he sucks.. well then Ill have to re evaluate my line of thinking.

I'm not willing to give that. I wouldn't give it to JJ either. I've seen enough for 3 years and I don't think either is capable. They will have to earn the benefit of the doubt now. As of now, Mettenberger has it because he hasn't shown a reason YET as to why he shouldn't have the benefit...

the past couple of years JJ and JL were his only options...now he has Mett as a third option...short string has been reintroduced into his vocabulary...

Lee. If JJ can't play, give the keys to Lee and see what happens. If he doesn't completely melt down, I say give him some leeway (no pun intended). No use in pulling him after a couple of slow starts.

Lee - but he can sure look terrible at times. I'd be ready to play both and wouuld pull Lee at the first sign that was getting nervous or rattled.

Lee. He deserves his shot as a more experienced and mature QB. He has been nothing but a class act

This takes the pressure off Mett.
As to who's better long term, it's hard to say without seeing Mett on the field against quality athletes in a real game situation.
IF Jefferson is suspended, for the sake of LSU I hope Mett can get the hang of it sooner than later.
Lee is a great guy, but I have never seen a quarterback with happier feet than he has. He is always throwing off his back foot. He never steps up to throw. I really think he needs a sports shrink. No kidding.
