I agree, Lee needs to start to give Mett a chance to see what's going on from the sidelines for a series. Then he should take over in the second series.

Lee first series, Mett every series after that. The guy had his chance to come in last year, as a 4th year player, and prove his worth and he fell flat. Do I want him to fail? No, but I have no evidence that after 4 years he improved, so he'd have to have had a stellar offseason. Doubt it. Mett is new but has the skills.

this.

Lee definitely starts. Mett will rotate some snaps in to see how he does. We'll see both.

Mett.

Cam Newton was fine in SEC play after dominating JUCO.

This whole situation will help the program in the long run. JJ and Jlee are gone after this year no matter what. The JJ situation will allow Mett to get some significant PT this year which will be huge for us in 2012 and 2013, maybe even 2011.

We also have no evidence that Mett can perform on the big stage either. Just saying.

mettenberger, the more he plays the better he will get. even if we lose to oregon, the season is far from over with him being the starter.
