Im going Mettenberger. Hear me out. Think about who else was rumored to be at this thing....Sam montgomery Tyrann Josh Dworzayck among many others. Mett was rumored to be out too. Never once did I see Lees name. Screw curfew. Ill take the guy who is hanging out with the other stars and starters. It ended bad. Im not trying to justify the actions of others. However curfew 2 weeks from the season is asking to be broken and have a good time. These guys are college kids and need to be able to have fun like a normal college kid sometimes. Its good for them. The names of the guys who were mentioned to be out are the guys that I want my Qb to be with because those guys are the guys they need to be leading on the field not the walk ons who were cooped up in there room at 10:45 like good choir boys.
Should everything have gone down like it ended last night? No. But do I care one bit about my qb breaking curfew no. Run them for breaking a rule but nothing to be for real worried about.

Im saying without the fight+Mett wasnt involved. Especially with no fight Id rather my qb be hanging out with the other starters then worried about a curfew
ETA: what Im saying is Im more concerned about Lee not being there then Mett being there. It tells me a lot about who the team would rally around

"Wasn't a panic move" ? Dude he threw the ball straight up in the air. It looked like a roman candle. His brain was momentarily caught half way in "throw it away" mode and half way out of "oh crap not another forced pick six" mode.

JL has earned the right to start if The J-Swag
is "Not Available." Let him start and see how he does. If he looks comfortable and moves the team, gets the ball into the hands of the playmakers and doesn't display the "Deer in the headlights/happy feet/throwing off the back foot" BS, then leave him in. If it all falls apart and he starts panicking, forcing balls into tight coverage resulting in picks, then give Mett his pre-mature coming out party.

It looked damned good. I've already stated that he had his good moments. No doubt about it. Do any of you Lee fans want Mett to see the field at all or just Lee all year if JJ gets booted ? Lee. Mettenberger has never played in a major college game. Give a 5th year senior his chance and work Mett in as we go along. Could be a great combo.

Lee has to start, if he doesn't play well then you can bring in Mett.

your not a normal college kid when you have a scholarship to football. you fall under differnt rules. you are direct represantation of the school. lee oviously cares about the team enough to follow the curfew. and you want Mett because he is out with the other "stars". leaders lead by example my friend. lee all the way!

Now I'm hearing that Lee was there at the fight. Supposedly he threw 4 punches. The first 3 missed and the last one was intercepted and returned for a touchdown
