Pretty cool to have a Tiger win it and 2 Tigers as finalists.

Mathieu won the Walter Payton Man of the Year Charity Challenge preceding this. Along with Chase winning OROTY and Burrow winning CPOTY, and LSU being tied for most alums on the active roster for the Super Bowl, it's pretty sick how much free publicity the football program is getting these days.

My dad and I went to the class 5a state title game. West Monroe with Whitworth and Brock Berlin with evangel. Best highschool game I ever went to. What I was really impressed by was West Monroe knelling after the game in unison when evangel got the trophy.

Post this on the SEC Rant and watch all the A$M & Bama posters implode it!

One of the greatest Tigers of all time and posters on a different thread saying just forget about him because he's "old". Amazing.

I was fortunate enough to watch him play from middle school through today.

Watched his speech, Very powerful and shows how things should be done. No political or racial message, no second handed agenda or message. Just teaching others be kind and people helping people. Like the story of the player from Detroit coming to him after the game. He didn't even remember it, but he had a big impact on that young man.

That speech was inspiring. Whit shows what servant leadership looks like. What a class act.

Knew it wouldn't be long before some Saint's sympathizer showed up to tell us Whitworth was a bad person.

What a weird take.. im a Saints and LSU fan, thought Whit’s speech was great and inspiring and from what i can tell he seems like a genuine guy ..
