Guys, Baylor is wearing yellow helmets and pants. Is it really that hard to understand why we'll be in the white helmets?
Did you miss the sea of yellow 2011 game in Morgantown?

LSU Football tweeted that the bowl game forced them to wear dark jerseys. I think I prefer the white pants over gold.

Almost like Penn St wearing their generation of greatness uni combo for their first college playoff game lol

then you wear G-P-G
What if the team voted otherwise?

I think the NCAA is transing back to a home colors mandate. The fact LSU wore color uniforms the last two home games, and this Texas Bowl brouhaha should reveal the writing on the wall. Its obviety is showing.

Who is it exactly, making the decision to use all these other uni color combo’s

The white helmet is better than the yellow (not gold) helmet anyway.

Yes, something has to be done.
That something is for you to stop acting like a gaping pussy.

I agree 100%
It is fine for this crappy bowl game, but we need to wear our real uniforms for the real games.

The players pick the jersey. This has already been covered.

And what is our “real uniforms”?

it makes the program look small time
Do you really think anybody really knows what 'the proper' uniform is for LSU? I have neither a clue nor desire on what they wear. How in the hell does a uniform make a program look small anyway? More concerned about the play and concerned about how Nuss can decide to become mobile in and out of the pocket.

not better then GPG a staple that was worn for ages.
we were forced to wear GPG at home.
I will never like that combo because of that.
GPG should be worn once per season

What does one have to do with the other?
You do realize that most of our losses are in the traditional uni’s, right?

It doesn’t effect the outcomes but it effects some fans’ relationship with the team. I used to pull for the LSU Tigers who wore an iconic uniform, was formed of diehard Louisiana kids with a few others mixed in, and who played for the state university, not for money.
All of that is gone now. I still enjoy LSU football; I still reflexively root for them; but it is just that - reflex. Many of us are still fans the way a deer, brought down by a fatal shot, still squirms and wiggles even though the life is gone. A matter of time before LSU goes the way of the Saints.
