I stay in Charleston and commute. Nothing against Columbia, but Charleston is one of my favorite vacation destinations I can drive to.
I have been there a bunch of times. The last time was when the game got moved at the last minute from SC to BR because of flooding. We just stayed in Charleston and watched it on TV.

OP - Platty West serves booze till 6am just fly in Saturday morning and take the 7am flight Sunday. No need for a hotel room.

The SEC scheduling model is hands down the worst thing about the conference.
You’re talking a conference that rarely gets things wrong. South Carolina might we well not even be in the same league as LSU at this point.
That’s just an example. LSU rarely goes to Athens or Knoxville also.

No one is saying Summerville is better than Columbia...but Charleston unequivocally is! Columbia sucks. I grew up in the upstate and have hated Columbia since I was a kid.
