2 backup QBs who rarely see the field wouldn’t qualify as facing each other.
Unless you take it literally, since they’d stand on opposite sidelines. Still, they overlapped in 2008 and 2009, but Green Bay and Oakland didn’t play each other those seasons. So no, they still didn’t face each other in the NFL.

Did Hodson go against Stan Humphries?
Stan played for Northeast Louisiana, now ULM.

they don't play this year but Mayfield will face Eagles (Hurts) and Chiefs (Mahommes) in the next month

And two LSU Heisman winning QB's at that.

Much less two heisman winners
Okay, so this question sent me down a rabbit hole: How many times have two Heisman winning QBs from the same school faced each other as starters in the NFL?
Here are the results according to data drawn from the Pro Football Reference website:
EIght schools have had multiple Heisman winning QBs: Auburn, Florida, Florida State, LSU, Miami, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, and Southern Cal. For 3 of those schools (Auburn, Florida, & FSU), their Heisman QBs did not have any career overlap in the NFL.
That leaves these possibilities in chronological order:
Notre Dame: 1943 Angelo Bertelli - 1947 Johnny Lujack - 1956 Paul Hornung - 1964 Johnny Huarte.
No games played between their Heisman winning QBs.
Bertelli retires from NFL after 1948 season with Chicago Rockets, having not played Lujack's Chicago Bears. Lujack retires after 1951 season. Hornung does not play QB in NFL. Huarte plays in AFL (Patriots) until after Hornung retires from Green Bay of the NFL in 1966.
Miami: 1986 Vinny Testaverde - 1992 Gino Torretta
No games played between their Heisman winning QBs
Torretta only played one game in the NFL; none against Testaverde.
Southern Cal: 2002 Carson Palmer - 2004 Matt Leinart - 2022 Caleb Williams
No games started against each other. Leinart and Palmer retire before Williams joins league.
11/18/2007 Cardinals (Leinart) 35 at Bengals 27 (Palmer), Palmer starts - Leinart doesn't play
10/9/2011 Raiders (Palmer) 25 @ Texans (Leinart) 20, Neither Palmer or Leinart play
2015 Season Teammates in Oakland. Leinart career ends.
Oklahoma: 2008 Sam Bradford - 2017 Baker Mayfield - 2018 Kyler Murray
Bradford retires after 2018 season, having not played against vs Mayfield. Mayfield and Murray start two games against each other (Murray's team has won both matchups.)
12/15/24 Cleveland Browns (Mayfield) 24 @ Cardinals (Murray) 38: Mayfield and Murray both start
10/2/22 Cardinals (Murray) 26 vs Panthers (Mayfield) 16: Mayfield and Murray both start
(no regular season matchup between the Buccaneers and Cardinals this season.)
LSU: 2019 Joe Burrow - 2023 Jayden Daniels
Play against each other in Commanders @ Bengals matchup.
The game between Washington and Cincinnati will be only the third game where both starting QBs are Heisman winners from the same school.
GEAUX TIGERS!

I’ll be there
Burrow is going to torch the Skins secondary for 500+ unfortunately. Expecting a wild one.

I wonder what the ratings in South Louisiana will be for that game between teams from Cincinnati and Washington D.C.?

When was the last time any school had 2 QBs face each other in an NFL game
Will be the first time in my lifetime I think 2 from lsu face off against each other. Has there ever been 2 heismans from the same school start against each other in the nfl?
ETA welp there’s the answer on the second page
