Before and after the game, what can me and the friends do? I've never been to the stadium so I'm clueless. TIA!

There is a Wal-Mart next to the stadium, you can do pre- and post-game shopping there.

Six Flags is right there.

They have so chain style restaurants nearby. A super Walmart behind the stadium.

Not much else.

Tear up the Walmart. We went there on our way to park for the Oregon game and it was awesome! (I know, I know, Walmart and all that stuff but it was great.)

Dad went to get some chicken from the deli, I went to find paper plates and stuff.

From that side of Walmart it was "GEAUXXXXXXXXX" and from the other side of Walmart, from people I couldn't even see, I hear, "TIGERSSSSSSSSSS"

We got the last of the fried chicken. For the day at 9:30 am. No more chicken the rest of the day! We were checking out and the cashier said, "I was working when y'all were here for the Cotton Bowl. This is crazy." They quit putting the bags of ice in the ice machine and just left the bags of ice on pallets on the ground. It was their 14th pallet of ice. 9:30 in the morning!

That was awesome.

Mexican food & cantina across the highway was pretty good in 2011.

Nothing but a sea of concrete. Bring a canopy tent.

El Chico was downright pleasant before the Oregon game; should have been more people in there. Buffalo Wild Wings was way too crowded. Sherlock's was a hike but was a good spot. Given the options I plan on being in the stadium as soon as I can though.

Edit: Sun Life Stadium laughs at Cowboys Stadium being labelled as in the middle of nowhere. Still some fun to be had around Cowboys Stadium, but it's def not a great setup.

We got drunk at Buffalo Wild Wings near the stadium. It really is a desert as far as good bars.

Just take a short drive to Fort Worth.
Railhouse ribs are pretty decent.
Dutch's has great burgers.
Flight Deck trampoline park, Botanical Gardens and Water park for the ladies.
Stockyards and Cowboy hall of fame for the guys.

Definitely want to hit Dutch's though.

Six flags, Texas Rangers ballpark, and there is a good bar called Humperdinks. They are all in the immediate vicinity of the stadium if that is what you were asking.
