I’ll be pissed, especially since ESPN has started the selection show commercials with huge doses of gumps, Dabo, OU, etc. to remind us how fricking irrelevant we are.

It’s dumb if it does happen, but I’m hardly surprised considering Alleva’s history.

He had one, but he meddled, couldn’t get along with him, and ran him off within a year.

He isn't changing his OC. He likes the offense. He's ok not being able to get first down when you need it. So if FKing

The usuals will overreact and melt down. Doesn’t change much in the grand scheme of things. It has to be done regardless of whether or not O is being kept long term.

And the usuals will continue to fricking laud the man like you. There is ZERO reason to extend him this year.

Figures you and Pirate King would rush to the defense of completely irresponsible and asinine behavior as long as Orgeron benefits.

I wish I loved LSU as much as you two love Orgeron.

Why do you think O deserves either, Ben?

Sure, extend him. And in the process name the buyout $0. I mean, he loves the school. Do the right thing. Show you want to be here without having to be bought out.

Why does it have to be done? Is another team trying to poach him?

He’s done nothing this year to warrant a raise and extension
exactly. How does one coach get an extension for producing the same shitty product that his predecessor got fired for. I wasnt happy with the hire but was willing to give it a chance because of O supposedly being a recruiting guru. Ain't seen it yet. At least Les was a likeable guy.

Why? He’s still got 3 years left on his original deal. Why the hell should we give him a raise or extension for the same kind of record that got his predecessor fired? Nobody is trying to poach him away from LSU. No recruit is going to be deterred by the coach not getting an extension with 3 more years left on his deal anyway. All an extension would do is put us in a tougher spot with regards to his buyout if LSU wanted to make a coaching change

Same reaction I've had the past few years with LSU football. Apathetic, I spend my money and time elsewhere nowadays.

Believe it or not, I'm not watching LSU football right now. Posting on a message board is a little different than spending time at LSU and money.

I think it's dumb, but as long as the buyout stays what it is, I can live with it next year when hopefully we'd see more do or die from O.

a raise

Would be laughable. The entire point of O was to NOT have a high paid Head Coach, and spend that money on Coordinators/ACs. Giving O a raise is the antithesis of that plan.

If you pair that with not getting rid of E....
