Euphoria is an understatement. The craziest, I’ve ever seen it outside of Baton Rouge. There were 500k to 700k LSU fans in New Orleans for about 2 to3 days of insanity.

The was the pinnacle of LSU Euphoria in my lifetime of 48 years outside of Baton Rouge

Had a huge party in my post-undergrad bachelor pad condo with both TVs showing the game. Made my first pot of gumbo following my mother’s recipe, starting with boiling a hen.

Copious amounts of whiskey and bourbon— and a wicked hangover for the next two days.

PS: frick USC and Pete Carroll. They had no claims on that championship

Sitting with my 9 year old son in the dome. We were up 21-14 with about ten mins left in the 4th quarter. He looks up at me ( absolutely certain that we were going to win) and says,"Dad, I've waited 9 long years for this."
I was wearing a great big grin and said, " yes you have Son, yes you have!"

It was cold with a mix of mist and light freezing rain before the game.
You seem to be getting your weather memories confused with the Sugar Bowl a few years earlier against Illinois (which was cold and nasty as you described).

January 4, 2004 was a bright, warm sunny day with no precipitation. High of 79, low just below 70. Look it up.

We wandered the Quarter that day before going to the game. It was an absolute blast, the day and the game.

I was there at the Dome on my honeymoon with my husband. Was one of the best nights of my life. Happy tears after all the years of being a tiger fan! I've been to all of the games we won a natty but this was the best one! corner of end zone lower level.

Living in Houston and watching on TV as my lovely wife was good enough to put our 1 and 3 yr. old to bed so I could watch the game.

I was in the dome. Saw the great man himself after the game. There were many tears of joy that night. It took my ears about 6 months before that cellophane rattling sensation stopped completely.
