More proof that LSU and LSU athletics are separate entities entirely. We got our hopes up for nothing

Its actually a pretty big deal. Just because its not something you care about and its not sports related doesn't mean its nothing

This...I don't know why everyone thought the academic account was going to post about installing new chair backs or some shite... this seems like a really huge get for the university

it’s laughable people thought the academics account would announce athletics facilities news.

I’m sure Bob Mann will still find an issue with this

If it is related to athletics in any way it seems like the LSU Sports twitter/X would have retweeted it.

Is there anything you would like to add today?

Not what I meant. They worded the post like it was athletics related thus getting all of us talking. Not saying it’s not a good thing just dumb they teed it up like they did.

It’s good economic news. Good economic news is exactly what we need. There hasn’t been much of that in the last 8 years with JBE. Jobs, economic growth equals fans able to pay $20 for a large popcorn and a Diet Coke. Just think of it that way.

A Message From the President
At LSU, we build teams that win. Not just on the playing field or the court, but in life.

I am proud and excited to share with you that LSU is leading a statewide effort in energy innovation that just received the largest-ever grant awarded by the National Science Foundation—up to $160 million over the next 10 years.

This is a huge accomplishment for LSU and for Louisiana, as this grant was highly competitive, with more than 700 applicants from across the country.

The LSU-led team receiving the grant is called Future Use of Energy in Louisiana, or FUEL, and it includes more than 50 universities, community and technical colleges, energy companies and state agencies. Leading the FUEL team and winning this transformational grant affirms what we already knew—that LSU is one of the nation’s premier research universities, changing the lives of the people of Louisiana and the world. By teaming up with our partners across the state in education, industry and government, we are leveraging the intellectual capital of our state’s best and brightest to make a difference for the energy industry and for the people of every parish in Louisiana.
