It came from the academic, not athletic side and they went through the detail of adding waterways to the graphic....
My guess....
"Today LSU is proud to announce a historic donation and partnership with [corporate entity] which will fund a state of art lab at Baton Rouge's downtown water campus. This partnership will make it possible to gain further understanding of Louisiana's waterways both hydrologically and ecologically."
