How do you know? I do know that Gage is a fast mo fo! I do know he was a beast in high school. I do know that our coaching staff has been starting a bad qb or a good qb.

Maybe Gage isn't better. Maybe he simply got a reward. I don't know but that does not sound as likely as the NEW decision makers think he is better or more deserving for some reason.

So how do you know the other two you mentioned are better? Why should I trust your judgement.

Convince me. I am listening. Really.

Ensinger (SP) left it up to Craig to put the freshest talent on the field. Craig sees something and we should trust him.

I was shocked. I'm sure he has earned the playing time in practice by doing everything and working his arse off. We shall see how well that translates to game time.

I have no issues with him doing all the little things, but he also needs to be able to make plays.

I tried to call in the the Coach O show last Wednesday, but couldn't get through. My question was answered very quickly on Saturday as which player that hasn't played much would be on the field allot more. We get too wrapped up with tall receivers when you just have to look about a few years to Beckham and Landry that you don't have to be tall to be great.

While he didn't catch any passes, he threw many great blocks and appears to have great speed.

When a coach plays potential over production, it is very de motivating to players and that appears to be the situation at a few positions.

This was very interesting to me. How can someone go from not playing in hardly any games for 2 years, to being on the field 40% of the plays in one week?

Gauging by the amount of PT he got vs Mizzou, must be pretty good.

He is setting up tendencies for Ole Miss and Bama to have to plan for. If Gage is running long routes in the game leading up to those games, and does well, then when we get to the Ole Miss and Bama game, we line him up in the same formation, and then boom, throw underneath to Guice in the open field for a key play.

This is the kind of long term strategy the Miles regime lacked (among many other things).

SEC coaches now have a whole lot more to consider in preparing to face LSU.

Lovin the O era !

From what I have heard the kid is the hardest worker on the team. He won the newcomer of the year award at spring practice voted on by the coaches. I am sure the coaching staff wanted to reward him for all of his hard work and dedication. I have no issues with it. He did pretty good blocking and getting open on that long pass play.

Some kid named Russell must have bullied Les back in the day.

It's a TEAM, takes all 11 on the field to make every play work...so, if Gage is in there, I trust THIS coaching staff to make that decision, based on what they see everyday, not what we just get to see on Saturdays...

Gage looked to be a very good stalk blocker. That's a good way to get on the field for a team that likes to run the ball like LSU.

We beat Mizzou 42-7, and produce the highest offensive output in the history of LSU football in SEC play and we have people questioning the decision to start and play Gage.

All of our 5 stars have yet to lay out for a ball like Gage did. He also held his blocks down the field quite well. I hope to see more of him and Brumfield, who also played well.

I've been told the same thing by staff. The 5 star has to come and prove he can't get it done first. Gage is a stud. Dumb arses on this board are going to stop trying to equate stars and rankings with talent. Last year, Lindsey Scott put up the 3rd most offensive yards in state history in 5A. Playing against Power 5 players at Calvary, Caleb Roddy, Divinity & Harris. Played well vs Calvary, and destroyed the rest. Football is football. Gage is a special talent. He doesnt have to prove shite to anyone here. He's proven it to his position coach.

Gage is under 6 ft and that is not what Cameron/Miles were looking for in their receivers. With a "new" staff Gage is valued, very happy for the kid!
