re: What do people think will change with Nuss? Daniels is better fit for this team.

Watch it again.
Only one defender on the side with Boutte and Kole Taylor.
Defender appears to pick Boutte, leaving Taylor unmanned, but Boutte already had the angle as well.
Problem was that Daniels already took his eyes down.
Will did get pushed back but throw could have easily been made if eyes still up.

You need to rewatch the play or you’re being completely disingenuous. Daniels had no shot to make that throw on the first play. It’s incredibly stupid to suggest he did.

But your decision doesn't matter.

Nuss will play a lot this season! Hopefully we can get him reps against the cupcakes. As much as Daniels has to run and doesn’t like the pocket he will get injured at some point this season.

Neither you nor me nor anyone, including the coaches, can tell us how Nuss will play in a game in this system with this team UNTIL HE PLAYS IN A GAME IN THIS SYSTEM WITH THIS TEAM.
It would be nice to know if he could be a viable alternative or just a quality backup.

Getting rid of the ball on time limits sacks.
and if he hits open guys it will back the pressure off.

Daniels is better fit for Denbrock's scheme.
fixed
No where near capable of fitting this teams skills set. If so, he would have slung the ball all over the field to the team's long ago proven best assets

Kind of hard to play QB at LSU with a red jersey and backwards red cap

First play of the game Boutte was streaking down right sideline for deep TD.
The first play of the game the LT got blown up immediately, forcing Daniels to take off. What the frick are you talking about.
He never ran out of a clean pocket, he threw to his man when he had time, and ran when shite got hairy back there. The fact that he ran for positive yards is a good thing, it's better than getting sacked or throwing the ball away.
Florida State was better than expected, and way more fired up then the team was ready for. And when they had some success, they played off it.
It was just a fricked up game, that we still almost pulled out.
O Line was getting worked over, the primary WR target (the preseason All American) wasn't on his game AT ALL, the running backs weren't making impacts running. And Florida State had 10 play drives every time they got the ball, making it hard to get any sense of rhythm when we got it back. It was always a lot of pressure. The 2 times we stopped them, we fricking muff the punt.
Despite everything that happened, Daniels ran a 99 yd drive for the (should be) tying score in a minute and a half, with the backup WRs on the field because Boutte was checked out. What more can you ask of ANY qb in that spot? He delivered.

You are going to have to take the good with the bad with either QB. Jayden’s bad is not being very good with going through post snap progressions and being conservative with his passes. His natural instinct is to take off a run when feeling pressure. Which becomes his good because he is so dang fast.
Nuss’s bad is he is a “gunslinger” and not conservative at all with his passes. Which will probably result in more turnovers. But being that the strength of the offense is its great receiving corps, Nuss’s bad still plays to the strength of the offensive unit and gives them a chance to be game changers
Whereas JD’s bad nullifies the strength of the offense, the receiving corps.
JD didn’t play bad by any means. And I think he is a pretty good college QB. But what he is best at does not maximize the strength of the offensive personnel.
Long story short…. What Nuss does good raises the ceiling of this offenses potential significantly. But is also more risky and lowers the floor.
JD is the safe play at QB this season and will improve some from game 1. But not giving Nuss a chance to see what he can do is doing a disservice to this receiving corps.

Almost seems like you're hoping for this.

Did you email this to BK for him? If not I’ll send it in.

Overall this is a good post that I agree with.
Two things though...
I don't think this is entirely true. In the first half there were times he ran when there was no pressure. I don't think it's unfair, or inaccurate, to say he got happy feet a few times.
Boutte had 1 or 2 catches on the final drive. That drive, and how he was one of the first guys to pick up Nabers were the only bright spots I saw regarding Kayshon's night.

More passing yards because our best position group is the WR group as I have been saying freaking summer.

However, with our offensive line being as weak as it is you need a QB with mobility and the ability to change blown up plays into something. Nuss would be getting destroyed back there.
Well, I watched Nuss play last year and he looked very mobile. He can avoid the rush. He is not the running threat that Daniels is, but he can evade a rush and look downfield for a receiver. He is a good enough runner to gain some yards when needed.
Daniels needs to learn to evade the rush and still find the open receiver. He won’t survive the SEC running like he did Saturday.

Did he even take any hits Sunday night? Seemed like he was pretty smart when he ran and either always got out of bounds or slid. I really don't see what changes about that against Mississippi State, Tennessee, Ole Miss, etc.
He wasn't being reckless with his body like we saw from Matt Corral last year, and he made it pretty much through the whole season.
I mean, it's football and injuries happen, but I just don't get this take.

The offensive line will suddenly block, and kayshon butters will remember how to catch.

I guess you missed that time he got body slammed around the 15 yard line…..
