Brady leaving sucks, but O has said countless times, Ensminger is the one who’s called the plays all season. So why exactly are we worried about Brady leaving?

Most of us aren't worried. You hear the number of people that Joe thanked in his speech? Only 1 of those are leaving. Either way, Trust in O.

You’re right, the panthers are paying Brady millions but he didn’t do much for us.

Which one of them won the Broyles award?

I really like E but if you think he was the main driver in the offensive turn around this year you are lying to yourself.

Listen, Brady has been phenomenal, but this entire show has been orchestrated and assembled by Ed Orgeron.

If he hasn’t earned everyone’s trust in his ability to bring the pieces here that we need, then there is quite literally nothing he can do to earn it.

We will be fine.

Agreed, no worries! Not a thing any of us could do about it.

We just won the NC. You don't have to be a miserable douche today.

I agree. There's no denying that Brady had a huge impact. I don't care who's actually calling plays, this season doesn't happen without Brady. Period.

HOWEVER...
If the alternator goes out on your Royals Royce you don't trade it in for a Datsun.

Brady was a cog in the machine. And important cog, but a cog nonethless. Cogs can be replaced.

No you don't rely on your headlights to do the job of the alternator (E to replace Brady), you go get another alternator (Brady 2.0).

It will be easier this time too. This time they will be asking CEO and Woodward to interview with us instead of us scouring the weeds for the right guy.

However, they should still scour the weeds for the right guy. That's how they found the first guy. But clearly there will be plenty of guys looking for the opportunity to boost their careers with this personnel.

Because all signs point to Brady being the one in the room that filled every gap in designing an attack that had answers for every defense.

And All signs point to Brady being the one who was able to take that design and implement it so effectively in the field.

That shite isn’t easy.

Also, Brady was the guy who, if things worked out, could have been someone to take over the program. He looked like a guy either the horsepower to do it.

“Calling the plays” is such a ridiculously oversimplification of the genius that we saw on offense this year. It’s like 15% of what made the system special.

Our hope is that whatever Brady brought to the table was somehow absorbed by Ensminger...or that Brady simply filled Ensmingers gaps and that Ensminger did the heavy lifting...or that Munoz was a much bigger key to the implementation of the scheme with Burrow than we realized.

Or, we can just hope that if the timing is right we go get Brady later.

Orgeron has done everything right. I count on this to continue.

Why are we worried? Because the architect of the entire offense is leaving. I’ve seen recently what Ensminger has done when running an offense. And it’s night and day. There’s a big reason to worry.

Not worried at all. Ed will hire a good replacement. We have a lot of talent returning on offense. We’ll be fine.

I agree with everything you said. I just get annoyed with these 'we don't even need Brady' threads. Yes we absolutely need him (or someone like him) for this car to keep on keepin on. It's not even disrespect to E, which some people can't seem to understand.

Perhaps the last final great thing Burrow can do for LSU is to tell us who he was talking with on the headset. If it was E, then let the world know and perhaps we can all calm down and perhaps future prospects can get excited. In the interim, bring in another passing coordinator to build upon what is already been started.

If "someone like him" is acceptable, then that means we don't need him

When you find someone like him let me know. Those guys don't grow on trees so it's ideal to keep the one you have. We weren't going to be able to do that so now we gotta find someone comparable and for all the right things E did this year I don't believe he is that guy. I see E as more of a manager of the offense and it's staff. Not the guy creating new/exotic schemes and packages for the offense, which is fine. It worked well with him and Brady together. However you gotta get someone in to replace Brady because I don't think E will do well long term without a younger offensive mind assisting him. If E can do this all on his own why weren't we doing it last season?

They just hired a very mediocre coach as their head coach and paid him a ridiculous amount of money.

I’m not sure the Panthers are the best at “bang for the buck” coaching hires.

I’m not saying Brady isn’t good. But if you think this entire season was only because of Brady, you’re a damn fool.
