In terms of speed and agility, Dupre is far superior to Benjamin. It is not really debatable, I don't think. Benjamin has size and that's about it

they are two different recievers with different skill sets. Just b/c Dupre is faster doesnt' make him the far superior WR talent. There's a reason Heyward-Bey is covering kicks and Crabtree is catching 3TD's in a game, and it's not speed and agility.

NFL drafts on potential. He will light it up at the combine with his athletic ability and be a top 2 round pick.

Oh stop. He's not going in the top 2 rounds absent significant production. Sure, he's tall, fast and athletic. But the lack of production will be a question mark as will the attitude issues. A first or second round draft choice has to have a high probability of resulting in a starter. It's not a pick you take on a flyer.

He will be drafted, but it will be third round or later and it may be day three. The guy has played and carried himself out of millions so far.

Have you ever stood next to the guy? He's not close to 6'5".

In what way is he going to light it up?

He's not going to run exceptionally well. He's not going to show exceptional ball skills. He's not going to run great routes. He's listed at 6'4"....I don't think he'll actually measure up to that height. I do expect that he will have an exceptional vertical. But, if your best attributes are size and leaping ability, it helps to have ball skills. And, the tape shows a guy that LOOKS LIKE he's less than enthused about playing the game.

Obviously, he's talented enough to go in that top 2 round range, but I wouldn't be surprised at all to see him go later than that also.

FYI, I seriously doubt he returns...even if he thinks he's a 3rd round pick.

He's already heavily damaged his stock.

His measurables will still get him a look but he's shown absolutely awful hands

Up vote, with DE in the fold for another season Dupre should join him and really solidify his stock as an early draft pick. Right now, I would say 4-6th rd at best...

He needs to get back outside next season, and show he can get off the line vs DBs and make catches in coverage, and move well in space. NFL does not often draft pure slot guys, and surely does not draft them early....

I honestly have no idea what you've been watching this year...but it's not Dupre.

Dupre isn't staying at LSU. He's regretted coming here every day since he committed. He won't shut up about it. He was always going to do the minimum and go pro. Everyone needs to disabuse themselves of the notion that he's going to put another year in here.

Before the season I thought he'd be gone by the 7th pick. After his early season meltdown it's very up in the air. He has a combination of qualities that are very rare - speed, height, long arms, good run blocker and good route runner.

If he closes out the year strong he'll go in the first round. If he keeps playing like this I have no idea.

Really? I don't grade the film or anything like that, but I've never seen him described as a good run blocker. I've seen him described as an unwilling run blocker, though.

Wright led LSU in special teams tackles his senior year. The ability to excel at special teams, his measurables, and workouts got him drafted.

From his interviews, he sees like a thinker which is appealing to NFL teams given that, on some plays, both the QB and WR need to read the defense in order for a successful play to occur. He has good measurables but, like many have said, is inconsistent at times. Our system up to now hasn't been a great friend to him like it was when Beckham and Landry went thru.

I would say 3-4th round right now but, with a good Senior campaign, he could be a 1st round talent. His is only a true junior so maybe another year would be a good thing. He's a likable kid....maybe just needs another year in a more pass friendly system.

People said that about Mathieu, Rashard Robinson, Ware, benny logan and mills....I think Dupre should go....he is settling into a slot receiver/possession receiver role. That will hurt his stock more than anything....

Well he also was projected as a 1st round pick going into the year. If he cares about his wallet, he'll either improve greatly the rest of this year or return for a senior season. If he wanted to play in a pass happy offense he never should have committed or he should have made the most of the opportunities he got.

Dupre's attitude has been evident from the beginning...he's a ME kinda' guy...but after looking at the Mizzo film, he did make some good catches and looked more focused than before...maybe the new HC had a word or two for him...

There was a thread on the MSB during Jameis Winston's last year talking about his draft stock and people basically said there was no way he would be a 1st round pick, much less #1 overall.

College fans don't do a good job separating production from potential, and the latter is still the most important aspect of the draft for NFL teams.
