Well we’ve been struggling with the types of teams we’d see in a regional. State, Auburn, Bama, those are like 2-3 seeded teams. Nicholls and ULL are the equivalent of 4 seeded teams. The 2 seed that’ll get sent to us will likely be much better than State, Auburn, and Bama. More like a USM or Texas who’d be sent to us as a 2 seed.

I think it’s harder to make it out of a regional than it is a super, especially if you don’t have any pitching. You could play more games in a regional which puts more pressure on your bad pitching staff to play better.

The sky screaming by the Village idiots is entertaining. Don’t jump on the bandwagon later.

Can you hit your way out of a series vs MSU? Is the regional field going to all be teams worse than the Bulldogs?

You gotta win more games to get out of a regional than you do a super. I mean we couldn’t have asked for a better start in Hattiesburg last year. Up 2-0, just gotta win one more, and what happened? When you don’t have a good pitching staff, it is absolutely harder to make it out of a regional, than it is a super. Play more games. Play against different teams with different styles. Sometimes have to play two games in one day. The concept of a regional is tougher.

Problem is that regionals have multiple games and you need to win more than one.
