I’m much less hopeful about our chances at winning a CWS than I was two weeks ago, but this is an overreaction. Nothing is guaranteed, not even getting out of the regional, but this team is clearly much more accomplished with much more potential than last year.
If these two series losses were not back-to-back at the end of the season, the doom and gloom wouldn’t be where it is now. Obviously it is a bad thing to be trending negatively entering postseason play, but we have another SEC series and the SEC tournament to make improvements/adjustments and build momentum.

I agree injuries have happened to all SEC teams but LSU's pitching staff was hard pressed to loose a definite starter in Taylor Grant and later Shores in the pen.Call me the eternal optimist but I believe LSU will sweep Georgia and atleast play in the SEC finals in the tournament. This should garrentee a top 8 national seed and home field at the Box in the regionals...I'm just as pissed about LSU dropping the last 2 series.
