When we played Troy in 2008. Warm during the day tailgating
, then a cool front came in just before kick off nobody was prepared for. It was coldest I’ve ever been in Tiger Stadium. The game was even crazier. We had to comeback from 28pts down. I can’t say I watched it from the stands as I left at halftime.

Yep. Tipped balls for touchdowns. Booty dropped a sure touchdown that would have sealed the game. The Alabama fans had even headed for the exits.

It gets overshadowed by the 2008 and 2017 game but that 2004 Troy game was pretty ugly too. It took a late touchdown to win that one as well

LSU has a real ugly football history with Troy

Weirdest or worst? Worst is easily 29-0

Weirdest? Maybe that 2017 Auburn game. It was hot as hell and we had a wild comeback led by DJ Chark’s punt return for a TD

personally, its 2008 Troy.

-the week before, the Tigers lost a heartbreaker to Bama in OT
-its freezing cold
-LSU goes down 31-3 in the 3rd quarter
-LSU scores 37 unanswered points to win 40-31
-largest comeback in LSU history

Surprised no one has mentioned the 2012 Towson game. First game I went to and Towson kept it close the whole game

Almost. The beat us on a Gerald Riggs TD run at the goalline. No XP required.

Oregon State 2004

Season opener after winning the Natty and Saban’s final season. A front passed through and it stormed its arse off forever with even longer lightning delays. A few guys from the student section ran on the field and were tackled by police. Then a grown arse man started streaking butt arse naked on the field and got pummeled on the field by security. IIRC he got hit with a sex offender charge because if it and was trying to fund his legal fees from the rant way back when. The game itself was a sloppy mess with Randall starting. Oregon State should have beaten us , games goes into overtime and Oregon State misses extra point. Field was pretty sloppy as well.

Yeah that's the one, 2004 and 2005 featured some really surreal and weird games and that LSU pulled out or, in the case of 2005 Tennessee, lost

I have never physically attended an LSU game in Tiger Stadium, though I saw my Dad's dorm room beneath it sometime in the mid-1960s. I don't have a "weirdest game" to mention, but the Bama fans here at Tyndall AFB are continuously poking fun at LSU about the endings of some games when LSU goes to Prevent in the last minute or so. The Bama fans seem to rejoice when LSU does that because they know they have a 100% chance of winning. Think of all the Bama games that LSU lost do to that move.

I remember listening to this game on the alarm clock radio in my parent's room. This was after Katrina and I guess we still didn't have cable.
