Yep, I was under the stands at the john on the NW side when they brought him off of the field and it took a while to figure out what had happened.

2008 Troy. Coldest game I have been to. All Troy had to do was run the ball in the 4th and they win. Weird they didn’t run and kept passing.

I was at that game. That's my pick. Nobody knew what the frick had happened. A few rows up from field level you couldn't possibly tell that not everyone in the mass of people coming off and on the field.

Was there to see LSU defeatTCU 5-0 on November 10, 1962, at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The scoring came via a safety and a field goal in a grueling defensive matchup that helped propel the Tigers to a 9-1-1 season and a victory in the Cotton Bowl.

The Vandy game in the 90s, where Vandy was at the goal line very late in the game and going for the win.
A Vandy back took the ball up the middle and over the top. Met in the air and the LSU defender popped the ball out. LSU ran it back.

The Orange Fog game.
Highly anticipated game with Bobby Bowden the FSU Coach.
Winner goes to the Orange Bowl!
LSU Offense was rolling that night with QB Alan Risher.
Typical fired up and loud Tiger Stadium crowd, but in the second half this mysterious fog rolled in and covered the field. (Actually, just like in "The Fog" movie)
(TGBFTL Bass Drum Solo at halftime for Semjase too)

Miami 1988. - LSU had a decent team and the electricity was thick hanging in the air. You could feel it. Then the rain came! Not just rain but a monsoon. And we shite tge bed and get blown away.
Alabama 1987 - filmed Everybody’s All-American. During the game. The energy was off because of it. The rhythm was off and we lose.

About 15 years ago when I lived in the Nashville area, I played in a golf tournament against John Vaughn, the Auburn kicker who missed those FGs. I remember his being the kicker at Auburn simply because I can remember hearing "Here's John Vaughn on for the extra point" during telecasts in the early to mid 2000's
The tournament was one of those round robin each team plays each team in the flight in 9-hole matches four-ball format. I didn't realize it was him until someone pointed it out to me right before the match that he was a kicker at Auburn. More important, I didn't realize he was the kicker who went 1 for 6 that game is TS. Right before we started, I asked him if he had any fond memories of playing in Tiger Stadium. He immediately said: "Yeah, I missed 5 field goals one game." Can't remember what I said back to him.
Here's the weird part: My four-ball partner and I beat them in the match. John was a good player at the time, probably a 4-5 handicap. He hit about half of the greens and gave himself some birdie chances. I remember John made one birdie and missed the other birdie putts. It was either 4 or 5 birdie putts that he missed. So he either went 1 for 5 or 1 for 6 on birdie putts.

That 1991 Vandy game truly had a comic-book finish. LSU defensive lineman Willie Williams(?) snatched the football out of midair and returned it 78 yards to the Vandy 20, before running out of gas.

It was the short ball control passing attack that crafted their 31-3 lead. Until late in the third quarter that worked perfectly. That was their offense and LSU couldn't stop it. But after Miles put in Jefferson for one series at the end of the third LSU's offense got going and Troy got rattled, and started turning the ball over. Then they started throwing incompletions, stopping the clock and giving the Tigers time to make a comeback. And in the 4th quarter, Jarrett Lee found a rhythm and completed lots of passes, even for TDs.
LSU scored a mind-boggling 37 points in the last 16 minutes of the game (outscored Troy 30-0 in the fourth quarter).
