Not weird at all. Ack was on a pitch count. He already pitched this week and is needed next week.

He wasn’t pitching 9 innings. So at some point someone had to step up. He went one time through the lineup. Typical for good relievers. Set to face a hot righty. It didn’t work.

Pitch calling with a guy with 2 pitches is tough. Think we just over thought lefty hitter and of course didn’t get fastball in enough.

Makes no sense. I've seen them do that all year. Pull a picture that is on target and bring in 2nd level Bullpen and get burned. Here we are again.
