I know most of y’all don’t normally watch baseball nor understand baseball, but there was a predetermined pitch count for Ackenhausen. He was coming out after 50 pitches no matter what.

I get it. But there's no way to know when/ if you will even need Ack. There's so many pitchers you can use situationally next week. You could save him for next week and he may come in and be ineffective.
The truth is he was absolutely dealing today. I'm not saying running to 100 pictures but man maybe let him get you through the 5th

I thought our fan base was fairly intelligent when it came to baseball.
Then this thread. And… the number of morons in this thread thinking Jay made a bad decision pulling Ack.
Every single one of you dumbasses thinking Jay made a mistake need to just stop watching baseball right now.
What part of pitch count do you not understand?
What part of needing to have fresh pitchers for next week do you not understand?
What part of this game is totally irrelevant in terms of this season moving forward do you not understand?

Yep. Terrible decision. Which made it even worse is he’s throwing Little now. Almost a 7 ERA

Despite what you yards think, it’s not the wrong decision to pull a pitcher if the next pitcher gives hits or runs.
Just like the last 2 games, the bats are what will decide the winner and loser.
