We just aren’t elite like GA and AL

I think after 2019, we thought we were gonna be elite with GA and AL and we just never have been.

Our fanbase is just impatient. I have faith Lane will build the program to that level but he has to get his culture in place.
Unfortunately a culture of winning and toughness isn’t something you can implement in one offseason.

Not yet anyway. Give Kiffin time. What was Saban’s first year record at LSU and didn’t we get beat by UAB back then? Oh and what was his first year record at Alabama, and I believe they lost to ULM that year too. RELAX!

I said that over and over three games ago when they played each other and looked like NFL teams at the same time we were getting pushed around in the trenches by Kentucky.

There is no more “rebuilding” or “installing culture” in the NIL-portal era. You win big NOW.
You think everybody is going to stick around d to “rebuild”? Hell, there’s likely to be a mass exodus out of here. You have to recruit your entire roster every season.
If Lane couldn’t do it this season, it raises doubts that he can ever do it at LSU. He may be kicking himself for leaving Ole Miss. it pisses me off for all the drama with the SEC, trash talk, etc. that he’s got us about where Brian Kelly would have had us.
It frankly wouldn’t surprise me to see Kiffin jump ship, as soon as this offseason. That’s just the way he is.

Bama isn’t elite this year which is the problem.
I do still think we beat Texas. They have an awful oline, and they have arch who isn’t going to be able to escape like kelon was

Yet. I just finished watching the Saban documentary and if all you are worried about is results this first year then you are ignorant to what it takes to become elite. We dominated that team most of the game. We stopped the run. But we couldn’t run the ball in second half and we had 2 turnovers. We only had 4 penalties but 2 erased huge plays. The Prince roughing the passer and the holding on the punt return. We are a good Oline away from being elite. That is the one thing and the biggest thing that needs to be fixed to get to that elite level. I trust that Kiffen will get us there.
