Yea and both cooper and ack looked like inconsistent shite during the season in 23 as well. Just like these guys. I vividly remember.

They didn’t turn it on until postseason play.

When people say this, they’re often proven wrong.

We’ll be fine.

Anything can happen in baseball and you have to win game 1 or I would question if we have the pitching to play 5 games in 4 days.

If we had not gotten thrown out at third twice, we would have not been in that situation. Or one timely third hit in a row.

Pitching is limited to 5-6 arms, but it's the brain dead approach to hitting, and the fundamentally asinine mistakes that will be the downfall of this team.

A complete overreaction. We have plenty of reliable arms to get out of a Regional. Anderson, Anthony, Evans, Cowan, Noot, Shores and others can easily get us out of the Regional. Now we can still be upset so we need our offense to really come alive but the Pitching is not going to hold us back. Right now the offense is the bigger concern and our offense is still good.

Do the other teams in the regional have the pitching to get out of the regional.

No, they don’t. A few weeks ago all these same posters were sucking off Vitello for his ability to “reload”. Look where tenner is now.

Those same posters were melting about LSU’s bullpen and talking about how Tenner and Arkansas both have more depth, which is not true at all.

They have no idea how rare it is to have more than 4-5 good pitchers on an entire college staff.

Pitching did not solely cost us that game. The inability to get timely hits is a huge issue for this team. Last night was the same, and we threw in some ridiculously bad base running. Our "best" hitters tend to strike out when they have the chance to break open a game. SC sucks in every baseball category, especially pitching. We swung and missed a lot. As bad as Ware was, they overcame it. Cowan cost us the game. Teams are figuring him out lately.

2023 had Guidry, Cooper and Ack. There's nobody like that in this bullpen.

I don't think you want me to tell you what those three had done prior to the postseason, but I'm going to tell you anyways

Our 2023 SEC stats for our pitcher not named Paul Skenes:

Ty Floyd 5.76 ERA, 55 IP, 55 Ks, 23 BBs, .225 BAA, 1.32 WHIP

Griffin Herring 5.19 ERA, 17.1 IP, 24 K, 12 BBs, .296 BAA, 1.90 WHIP

Gavin Guidry 5.40 ERA, 11.2 IP, 14 Ks, 7 BBs, .234 BAA, 1.54 WHIP

Riley Cooper 5.70 ERA, 23.2 IP, 22 Ks, 7 BBs, .314 BAA, 1.65 WHIP

Nate Ackenhausen 9.00 ERA, 6 IP, 6 Ks, 7 BBs, .285 BAA, 2.17 WHIP

Thatcher Hurd 13.81 ERA, 14.1 IP, 17 Ks, 11 BBs, .323 BAA, 2.23 WHIP

We literally had not a single player other than Skenes who wasn't out for the season with a sub 5 ERA in 2023 in SEC play.

And this same bullshite thread was started in 2023 too

LSU has 2 really good starters who can lead them to a 2-0 start in a regional. In fact, in 8 home series this year only twice did LSU not start 2-0.

If LSU starts 2-0 in a regional, their 3rd game will be against a team who will be playing its 4th game of the regional (4th game in 3 days). At that point, whoever they play will likely have burned through at lot of their top pitchers to get to that point. AND that team coming out of the loser's bracket will have to beat LSU twice.

Of all of the great LSU teams of the past is this team one of the best? Probably not. But it's hard to look at the rest of the teams in the nation and say more than a handful are unequivocally better than this LSU team.

Depends on the 4 seed… why waste Anderson when anyone we got can win it if the 4 is weak?

Ah, welcome to your first college baseball season kiddo.
