One thing Skip never did was outthink himself. Feel like Jay overthinks everything. His players seem that way as well. They’re up they’re considering pitcher analytics and trying to outsmart the game when sometimes you just gotta go rip. They all need to hit the reset button and start playing loose, having some fun.

He fricking lost in Omaha with six MLB Pitchers on his roster including the Golden spikes winner. Yeah he over thought many times.

Skip was hold the rope and flush the toilet. He was a program builder and motivator, much more focused on players mentality than left/right matchups. Jay changes the lineup every game. He gets hosed over and over on the shift and pinch hits multiple times per game. At some point the numbers give you diminishing returns.
