Clearly most plays have option, but the choice was obvious when they lined up.

Keys was better than Dottery last night. Especially in the run game

Dottery taking over the green dot in a complicated defense is probably too much for him.

He was clearly at his best playing read and react with Weeks running the calls and checks.

Is no one talking about the movement and no penalty before Kentucky called time out?

2 safeties over the top with 3 WR's split wide on each side? :rotflmao:. You really do know nothing about football "Pal".

As soon as they lined up, I said “Look how wide open the middle of the line is.”

One or two here thinks that Baker is responsible for the 2 pt conversion mistake. Does anyone here other than the one or two here believe that? If so, explain why it's Bakers fault and not Dottery's.

I never said it was Bakers. It was either Dottery or Keys.

Dottery being the green dot means is most likely on him.

I know you didn't. Fat Bastard seems to believe it's Bakers fault we were in the wrong defense. If anyone thinks Baker would teach his defense to not check out of a 4 on 4 defense with no linebackers to cover a draw is absolutely void of any football common sense. Once again Dottery should have checked the linebackers out of pass coverage back into run coverage. Baker was not plaing LB last night, had he we would have probably stopped that 2 pt conversion

This is also why I absolutely fricking HATE calling a timeout after “getting a look” at how the offense is lined up. You only have 1, so save it for if you don’t like the alignment or look of your defense. Not just because.

You’re going to adjust, and so are they.

Had Kiffin kept that timeout they call it as soon as UK splits out and LSU left the middle open.

Exactly, and there was a wide open gap left there for QB to walk right into the end zone. I was so mad that NO ONE saw that coming, especially Blake. He thought they would pass the ball just like in the SC game…..bet he wishes he could take that one back!

Don’t get me wrong, the initial call was not great. Cover 2 man that deep is strange, but it could have worked had they kept a RB in. Still, it’s a strange call to have two safeties “over the top” from the 3 yard line.

Once they split out 5 wide though, Dottery and one of the safeties have to recognize that and check into a cover 0.

No one did. The backers vacated the middle and the safeties stayed over the top. Zero communication amongst them.

I don’t think it was. Looking at the film there was nobody there so he just jogged into the end zone. We had no LB snd 7 DB’s out wide

Not only that. We had two timeouts to get it right. Both teams called one.

They burned their timeout when Uk first came out for the 2 point.

So did Whit Weeks, but he was on the sidelines.

Obvious as daylight.

You still don't get it. Safeties had nothing to do with the 2 pt conversion. The LB's should been filling the gaps on the line instead of playing wide in pass coverage. A fundamental error by Dottery. A pee wee DC would not have called for his LB's to be wide in pass coverage on that kind of play.

First thing I said when they spread out was watch the QB up the middle. Not rocket science and I’m no genius but even I knew.

Ehhhhh

The safeties needed to be communicating with Dottery about the coverage and the fact that they were out leveraged in the middle.

None of them were talking.
