Watching Max Johnson this year is all the proof I need to know that Brennan was clearly the starter for 2021 baring the injury.
max hasn't played good but id have loved to see how great brennan would be with no running game and a terrible offensive line.

I honestly don't understand this transfer. He probably would've started next year unless Johnson shows immense progression. Myles is a way better natural passer that is miles ahead of Max especially on deep routes. There's a reason he was on a record pace last year and was the pinned starter this year. The new coach wouldn't give a shite who's younger or older he's going to play the best player to WIN and the best player right now is Brennan. If that meant Johnson transferring so be it.

He didn't have a running game or oline last year and was on a record setting pace. If he stays healthy someone is getting a steal.

He was given that opportunity twice at LSU.

Losing with Brennan at qb: The qb is the problem!

Losing with Max at qb: It's the coach, the line, rbs, drops, the defense.....

Fans are strange

I'm a bit surprised that he didn't wait to see who the new coach is going to be, unless he already knows, and that's one reason why he's bailing.

He's been informed Lincoln Riley is taking the job and Caleb Williams is transferring in with him. I'd leave too

Honestly, this is not too far fetched if Riley is the true #1. Pretty sure Williams would follow him. He loves Riley based on his recruitment.

He should’ve seen the writing on the wall when the coaches went out to get a transfer instead of playing him. Next coach should have talent to work with though, in Nuss.

The best career 1-2 QB in the history of LSU football!!!

I hope he has a good year or two wherever he lands. But there was no certainty he was going to be the starter THIS SEASON, even without the injury. While I would be happy for the kid to have a great season elsewhere...I'm not exactly expecting it

He already knows the OL is going to be hot garbage.

Hasn't proven he can stay on the field...needs to go to a small school.

So what you're saying is if LSU doesn't hire Kiffin as the next head coach, you're out as a fan?
I honestly wouldn’t consider my self a FAN now. Like many the BLM shite turned me off of college and pro sports. I just watch occasionally when I’m not out fishing on the weekends.

Another 4 star QB transfer to La. Tech (via Jeff Driskel) to play in an air raid type system to rack up stats and get on the NFL radar perhaps?

I’d definitely go watch their games if he transferred to Tech

Kid suffered a legitimate season-ending injury (in a game that I believe he actually finished) and LSU fans call him soft. The fishing injury was a fluke. I don't blame him for transferring. Our fans suck.

LOL at thinking this has ANYTHING to do with "the fans."

Are you an Ole Miss fan? Look, Brennan seems like a good kid who loved being a Tiger, but he just had some bad luck here.

The best QB ever transferred here and then after he left, Brennan starts 3 games in 2020 and then had an abdominal injury. I wish him the best by all means, but you want him to drop 60 on LSU because??

These takes are so dumb. Kid got an injury. It happens. It was so uncommon they were going to name the surgery after him.

Then he fell and broke his arm in a fluke incident.

You guys are idiots acting like he sprains his ankle every month.

He gets the ball out quicker and is way more accurate under pressure than Max…..so he’d be way better even with our shite O line.

So Brennan is worried about losing the job next year to Max who he is supposed to be better than? It seems like it would be easy to earn the starting job over Max and Nuss and a potential incoming Freshman QB who is already looking elsewhere.
