we left 2 outs on the table with the LF glare issue in foul territory early

i mean that cost us 2-3 pitches. he got the guy out a couple of pitches later.

There is zero chance a well executed bunt should bounce 10 feet in the air like that. The LSU guy made an amazing play, but regardless, on MLB infields, I think that exact same bunt would have scored the run 95/100 times.
Milazzo's bunt would have scored that run. Maybe execute better next time

Thing is we would have won the first game probably if the field was different. The field being this way helps other teams stay closer with LSU

Now ask them to explain the swinging bunt in the top of the 11th that immediately died in the grass.

Quite the arrogant group of fans for a program that hasn’t been to Omaha since 1955. I would have expected them to be a likable and humble bunch

Back in the day all ball parks were built in urban areas and were designed to fit the real estate. Example, Wrigley and Fenway. Rules were never written about field dimensions. The came the cookie cutter multi purpose stadiums. Example,St Louis Cincinnati Philadelphia Pittsburgh. Camden Yards in Baltimore ushered in the era of modern parks designed with the nostalgic look. Minute Maid in Houston is another park desyinn an urban setting with nostalgia in mind. The mistake Omaha made was not aligning the park to the traditional layout of first base being due south hence the term southpaw

Hitting the ball 350+ ft in the air has nothing to do with field. They thought they were the team until they were b slapped by the real team.

The CWS being in Omaha is a cool tradition, the outfield grass looks amazing, and the fan experience fantastic, but the field dimensions, infield condition, and field alignment with wind/sun leave a ton to be desired.

I actually agree with this. The games have been too much about the sun and wind. Throw in some terrible umps and it becomes a circus at times.

Those bitching about the field leads me to believe Wake plays on an all turf infield.

First off, that bunt was off of a 100 mph fastball. It's really hard to bury a bunt off of a heater like that.

It was a good bunt, near perfect play by everyone, fortunately for us....Morgan made a perfect play on the ball.

Only thing I agree on is the park is horrible for people outside of the fan bases of the teams playing tuning in.

That play would have scored the run 98% of the time in any college game and on the same field in Omaha. Morgan and Milazzo made an outstanding play. That's really all there is to it. Sometimes the defense wins.
