I'm in contact with someone inside the VCU athletic department. There are rumblings that Wade remains very interested in the HC position at LSU. Although short the meeting yesterday in Richmond was very productive. The two sides are negotiating salary. Should be a done deal by tomorrow evening.

I'll play along for the sake of discussion. No question Wade would (and should) use the LSU job as a negotiating pawn. That said, assuming the OP is accurate, what is the salary range between the two (VCU/Wade)? Is VCU willing to pay upwards of $2.5 million? Or is this just a let's get VCU to $2.0 mill and call it a day?
