Wade is not good enough to put up with this

Look... WW is a decent enough coach.
But whether we like it or not, his presence has brought a tremendous amount of drama to LSU.
5th place in the SEC after several years is not good enough to justify the university fighting to keep him.
If this is a Final Four team, maybe the university fights a little harder here.
If he doesn't do the things he did... he's good enough to keep around.
But given everything, the juice isn't worth the squeeze.
Woody wasn't brought here for mediocrity. He was brought here to bring success, and to bring it the right way.

I'm interested to see how 13-16 in the SEC looks on LSU after several years after this fiasco is all said and done.
ETA also the look of what happened with aTm football in recruiting this year which was all legal according to the NCAA....and looking at this which the NCAA says is illegal....well that to me isn't a great look. I realize what Wade did happened pre-NIL but still the look of it was illegal then but is legal now...well that doesn't play well with me.

For LSU standards he is, OP. Name the last basketball coach who had us in the tournament every year. I’m starting to think Woodward was giving all of the existing coaches he inherited a short leash as an excuse to fire them to hire his own people. His legacy seems to be priority number 1.

Throw in the shoddy officiating away from our own home cooking and he was doomed. Brought the PMAC back up to standards! I'll give him that! The General will land somewhere. He can recruit!

Look, the NCAA rulebook is a bag of dicks. We all know this.
But until the NCAA is shut down, you have to play by the rules, or you have to be smart enough to not be sloppy when you break them.

I really hope we can revisit this years down the road and say it was the right move. I have a really bad feeling Wade is going to land elsewhere and kill it while the rest of the SEC passes us up in basketball though. We've already punted what should have been our best year under Wade next year and talks of banning us from the tourney this year so hey hopefully 3 years from now we can get back to where we are now

Alleva was fired.
When you replace a fired AD, it's pretty common that the old guy's coaches might not be the best fit.
