Skenes' 12 K's (6 IP) are the most by an @LSUbaseball pitcher in a season opener since Scott Schultz had 12 (8 IP) vs. Lamar on 2/17/1995. Schultz still holds #LSU's career strikeout record (409).
Last Tiger with >12 in an opener was Cal Santarelli with 13 (in 9 IP) in 1983.
