I seriously doubt Max is leaving because of fan expectations, but if he did I promise the fans appreciate the efforts of a Jordan Jefferson or Jarrett Lee who stuck it out, over a Max Johnson who decided to run away.

Yep! Kelly has more on his plate than recruiting or coaching hires. He has to flip the script on this program. Too many baby back bitches that have spread through our locker room like herpes. I would have thought Orgeron who punches himself in the face and rips his shirts off would have sharpened the iron on our team , but he let them practice more than half the time without pads and turned these guys into pussies

I know 100% for sure this site has turned off recruits. I know 100% coaches have used this site to show players how fans treat our players. And oh they’re soft blah blah.. Most of the people who say this stuff are over 40 and don’t under stand times change. Kids are different, now a days. Look how we treated Jamie Howard, Jordan Jefferson, hell 2018 people complained about Burrow. You have a former player telling people how it is. And still don’t want to listen lol. If we listened to our fans we will have a 5ft10 qb from Houma. Not talented but he has a chest wtf lol

If Johnson is indeed leaving (dunno if ZVR is just speculating here or if he talked to Max so I'm not going to say this is definite) because he couldn't handle the expectations of being the starting LSU QB, then it's probably best for him to leave and go somewhere where the expectations are lower. I'm not going to bury him for it, it's not something just anyone can handle. Thanks for helping us beat Florida last year and stealing aTm's soul this year, and best of luck in your future endeavors.

how many QBs have to leave before our fans lower their Heisman trophy expectations

Sorry Von, but wanting your QB not to have happy feet and to step up into the fricking pocket every now and then is not Heisman Trophy level expectations

Well if you know this for a fact then these players and coaches are even dumber than I thought. Hell half the people on here are trolls of other teams pretending to be LSU fans. That’s a seriously beta assumption that you are making

That's one of the ultimate ironies of this.

Some people have no clue what Jamie Howard had to endure, in the age before social media to boot.

The other end of that coin is he will be worshipped if he played well.

Max did play well, especially for a 2nd year QB.

So LSU has to "wait" 3, 4, 5 years to have a good QB season, but it is ok that their biggest rival and hurdle to ultimate success (Alabama) can routinely have 2nd year guys lead them to playoff appearance and championships?

Perhaps in a world outside the SEC West being patient is fine. But if you have goals to WIN the SEC West, then your QB better be ready to produce at a high level...quickly.

Is that "fair"? Probably not. But it's reality. You either except that, or you run from it.

Well, Saban did go off on Bama fans recently about this as well, and I don’t think we consider him “soft”
