You realize TCU already has wins over like 2-3 ranked teams already this season and she did just fine in those games. Like some have said in this thread, her injury early last season set her back a little combined with playing a new position.

This.

She's good, but not great. You have to be great to shine at LSU

She’s still struggling to shoot the 3 , 26% for the year.
TCU is going to be a tough out for anyone this year , 6’7 post player , Sedona Prince is very good.

Was it Mulkey, the PG position, or was it Reese and jealousy?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Doubt it! Why would Reese be jealous of Van Lith? Don't answer that. I think we already know the answer, but I'll say it anyway, she wasn't good enough to be at LSU and TCU is fools gold. They don't play LSU's schedule. She just got exposed against better competition. It's happened at TCU too. Check the Notre Dame game. I guess that was Reese's fault too. Stop projecting blame whenever this pop tart fails.

Honestly wished she would have stayed, but we'll see how see looks vs SC this weekend. Likely the 1st time this season TCU will be dealing with a more athletic, quicker, and deeper squad.

Someone said that TCU had already played some ranked teams and they did fine. But looking at the current rankings, the SEC has 7 teams in the top 25...Big 12 only 3. There is little doubt that the competition is the SEC last season...and this of course...is far superior to what she will be facing this year when TCU begins to play in conference. The SEC guards ate her up when she was on defense...they drove right past her! Her offensive percentages were similar to Louisville numbers...she simply don't shoot as much.

You're just stupid. Reese was the one that recruited her to LSU. They are friends and Reese just a week ago was tweeting support for HVL when she had a career high in assist.

Why would Reese be jealous of her? Make it make sense?

She was worth the attempt and a heck of a player it just didn't work out for various reasons. Glad to see she has done well at TCU.

bullshite. I specifically DMd Van Lith letting her know my balls were ready and waiting.

She probably saw that you were white and didn't respond

Although she was pushed into the point guard role, she struggled because it wasn't her preference.

That is exactly the opposite of what has been said about her transfer to LSU. Do you have inside information about the situation? Because she and Kim have both talked about how she transferred specifically and intentionally to play PG. She wanted to learn the position because she felt it would place her in the best position with regard to playing in the WNBA in the future. She didn’t struggle because she was “forced” into the role. As others have said it was just a combination of things including a nagging injury that combined to make her season here less than everyone hoped and expected it would be.

Worked on custom shoes with HVL twice— once at LSU, once for the Olympics. She’s an amazing person and I’m always rooting for her

Y’all grasp at straws fr. She has a great relationship with Angel. Last year she was hurt and it wasn’t a great fit.

But HVL is a hooper. Put some respect on her name.

I wouldn't be surprised. Watched most of the games last year and it was pretty common for her to be open on the wing and the ball never seemed to make its way to her. The chemistry on that team just seemed off.
That's what I saw. Seemed like most of the team froze her out. Didn't see Angel in particular, but she is pretty much a black hole when she gets the ball.

Mulkey didn't do anything to help. She saw what was happening on offense and did nothing to help Van Lith on defense in tough matchups. Completely hung her out to dry against Caitlin Clark.

My memory is that she came here to gain experience and learn that position. It didn't work out so she went somewhere to play the correct postion

Shooters shoot, dribblers dribble, and passers pass. Van Lith is exceptional when she is primarily required to do the first one of the three.

She was always coming here for one year only since the beginning. Mulkey confirmed that herself.

She got a Masters at LSU and is getting another at TCU.

Good for her. Rooting for her continued success.

Didn’t seem like she had much of chance here due to the racism against her in the locker room

LSU's style of play on offense didn't fit her game. She needs space to operate and Mulkey likes an old school 2 big type of system.
