I'm not saying VB is winning the Heisman, with a horrible OL it would be worth giving a running QB a chance for a couple of series as a change of pace

They probably want to preserve his redshirt. The kid may have requested it. We don't know.

Nuss threw for 294 yards and 2 TDs against Georgia in one half as a freshman. Not sure this tells us what you think it does.

Rick Neuheisel this morning on Sirius was marveling about the pistol offense and how it helps teams with less than offensive lines. How the mesh point is immediate and not near the LOS like other RPO's, and it gives you a quicker start on the defense and they are playing catchup. But it requires a some what mobile QB or one that's willing to run at least a little to keep the defense honest. I truly think MVB with the pistol would be better than whatever crap we're trying to do.

Because the QB is playing well.

He is. I know that's hard to believe due to the offensive results.

He did wait too long. Not seeing the field after the bye, with a home game, was the time to mix things up.

Missed opportunity.

It's rumored that BK and Nuss' agent (or future agent) is the same guy. hmmm

mvb should be a situational player at the least. especially inside the 10.

Absolutely....

there's an opportunity to get MVB AND Kaleb Jackson involved...

short yardage and goal line. Surely, we could have developed a short yardage package by now. let MVB run a true RPO and let Jackson be our SY / GL hammer back.

There is a difference between being frustrated as to why he hasn't gotten a chance and understanding why. It shouldn't be hard to understand why.

He'll get a shot next year. The only way he will get a change this year is injury to 18, or an absolute blowout against direction U in 3 weeks.

Is it written into the NIL deal for Nuss that he can’t be benched?

Now compare who Nuss was throwing too. And the talent surrounding Nuss to Van Buren. Are you arguing that Miss. State had equal talent to LSU?

Well we sure as shite can eliminate the injury part. Kelly will trot Nuss out there as long as Nuss is breathing.

One asks why MVP is on the roster.

True, but MVB was throwing to two guys who are #1 WRs on separate teams this year. Coleman and Craver. Both transferred and Coleman is Mizzou's leading receiver and Craver is A&M's. Craver is also #2 in yards among all P4 receivers.

When he signed, my assumption was his main use was in short yardage situations. Not sure what’s up with him because this has been a huge problem for us. Sure couldn’t do any worse than what we’ve seen

It whats up with Kelly. I firmly believe that if he pulls Nuss, say inside the 10yrd line or on short goal to go situations, the Nuss's stats suffer and would have hurt his Heisman run. Obviously that is over now, and now I think Kelly will never put him in because if MVB does gets the offense going people will say Kelly made a mistake not doing it sooner.
