You don't need "proof" to initiate an investigation

NIL does not bother me, I believe players should be compensated. But damn, this whole reaching out to players that are currently on another roster? Miss me with that.

Same here. Glad they are making some money. But NIL coupled with a one time transfer is not good for college football. NCAA may want to think about reinstating the policy of having transfers sit out a year or risk 95% of the country turning into a farm system for about 5% of the teams.

Is it a violation for a business to offer an NIL deal to a kid with the stipulation he needs to transfer to x school? (bama)

Jordy is a media guy. His loyalty should be to the truth, not any program.

I hate this shite. Schools should not be able to make offers to a player who is not in the portal.

When will the NFLmafia step in when some kids start waiting to declare?

Some kids may end up making more or equivalent in college than rookie minimums in the NFL

True, but it should 100% only be for players that enter the portal. Schools have no business talking to a player that is currently playing for another school.

That’s the problem… NIL allows that bullshite to flow through a business or marketing company and the school doesn’t get its hands dirty.

There is no "may" about it. That is going to happen. If it isn't already. The QB from Texas got a $1.4M NIL deal to leave HS a year early to enroll at Ohio State. He then left without ever playing a snap to become a huge free agent. Texas won the (purported) bidding war by offering him another big NIL deal (alleged to be at least $1M).

Over $2 million to a kid who has NEVER played a down of college football.

This makes me so mad at the state of CFB. These kids are just extorting schools at this point.

What better way to make your team better while making your opponent weaker. This shite is funny. I can’t imagine why any man would fork out 100s of thousands of dollars to pay some kid to play for their favorite college. That’s just dumb. I guess that’s what it’s like when you have frick you money.

Hope he stays. But this is wrong (and we may be doing it as well and just as wrong) to be courting players from other teams. SEC needs to step in and make intraleague NIL transfers sit out a year.

"Keep him away from the NIL powerhouses"

Here's the real question - why isn't LSU a NIL powerhouse?

The reality is that if LSU wants to be a football powerhouse going forward, it's going to have to become a NIL powerhouse first.

Paying players has now just come out from behind the curtain. With the transfer portal/not having to sit out, players can name their price.
