Tulane played a great game. It was extremely entertaining. I was cheering for them.

I’m in my mid 40’s and remember the LSU/Tulane rivalry. I HATED Tulane with a passion, as they hated us equally. It’s just not like that anymore. They used to have a really strong fan base that died off in the 90’s. I was admittedly pulling for them yesterday. The hate just isn’t there anymore.

Kinda using Saban’s logic. Since Alabama finished 4th in the SEC they still should have been in the championship series. Since Southern Mississippi beat Tulane, Southern Mississippi should have been in a New Years Day Bowl.

Tulane was awesome this year. Why can't they have fun? Heck, let them dream about what could have happened if they made the playoffs.

i've never rooted for tulane. ever. But they were a great team to watch this year so i rooted for them. well coached teams are hard to find in college football and they were very well coached, especially defensively. best of luck to Tyjae Spears at the next level too. he won me some bets this year

Since 1983, LSU has played Tulane 18 times. And won all 18, with 16 of those wins being by double digits.
The "Tulane rivalry" originates primarily from Tulane's days in the SEC. But that ended in the mid-60s.
Since then, it's been a faux rivalry, in my mind. They're not a legit threat to LSU, and we've utterly dominated them on the field.
How can I hate a team that's zero threat to us?

Oh look, a "know your place" thread except this time it's not aimed at Cajun fans. This is the type of goofiness that exhibits why a lot of our fans have the opinions they do towards LSU.
Seriously, what's with some of you monopolizing success within this state? I'm not even a Tulane fan and was very excited for them. For a team like theirs to beat a program that basically was bought through NIL and the LA market, this was an extremely impressive win. Let them have their moment. Sheesh.

People happy for Tulane don’t have to spend any time around their handful of fans. These are people who root for Alabama most of the time and think of themselves as above the rest of Louisiana.
