A bad day at LSU is still better than a good day at Tulane.

First time I ever heard my dad curse was when I asked him what his "Tuck Fulane" bumper sticker meant. Damn near pissed myself.

I was a youngster and recall the Lsu vs. Tulane rivalry. And it actually existed. It has been dead since about 1996. 1982 totally made it legit. I have the banners that say "A bad day at LSU..." as well as Mike taking a dump on a green wave.

I guess kids born after 2000 just will never get it. And there is not much to get.

Diehards, do not lie...Tulane baseball was like jock itch in late 90s and became full blown Herpes when Aubrey and Kaplan were there. God I hated Tulane.

Oh, it was very real. I was born in '75 and my dad and his friends always hated Ole Miss and Tulane. I've mentioned it on the board many times, but that fight with Tulane in Tiger Stadium in the south end zone was about as bad as it gets. Our seats were right there on the goal line and I can vividly remember helmets swinging and coaches fighting. It was crazy.

Tulane has usually been good in at least one sport most of the time (baseball for a long time, til recently, basketball in the 90’s, and football never, outside of one good year in the late 90’s). Now, they suck horribly in all 3 sports and it’s truly a miserable time to be a sports fan of the Green Weenies.

frick TULANE!!! I’ve hated them since I can remember. When they were in the SEC, man I wanted to strangle my family from NOLA. My dad always reminded me it was my moms family and she was the only one with any sense because she loved LSU.

I think my mom was a rebel.

I read this story once about a few Tulane students that stole Mike when he was in a trailer outside a restaurant at 1 am the night before the LSU/Tulane game in New Orleans and it was hilarious. They hooked the trailer to this one guy's truck and he drove Mike into his freaking garage. His dad told him to go see why the dogs were barking in the garage and he told him they were barking because there was a tiger in the garage. It was a great story.

Then another time Tulane students cut the lock on Mike's cage and he got out and was roaming around campus. They had to tranquilize him to get him back in the cage. The LSU/Tulane rivaly sounded pretty nuts back in the day.

And Tulane beat their meat today because they are done for the year while LSU played in the conference tournament championship game and is going to play on in a regional.

So was Georgia Tech. I guess neither of them could hang with the big boys.

The hate in ole uptown New Orleans for LSU was epic. The Sugar Bowl committee would do everything it could to hurt LSU and keep the Tigers from playing in "their" bowl.
Ask Dale Brown about it. When LSU was in the NCAA in the dome the host was 2lame. When the Tigers went to the dome for their assigned practice, the dome was locked up and no one was there. LSU held their practice in Bro Martin's gym. They still will not send their spawn to LSU. They can go anywhere but LSU.

Tulane is such a joke. Just like the other state schools. Guess we won't be hearing much from them or the southeastern fans today lol.

It's probably because there are no Tulane fans in New Orleans; they all moved back to the northeast when they graduated.
