Some things never change - and Bama fans wonder why LSU fans have a chip on their shoulder about this "rivalry". Bama's gotten the benefit of the doubt in every regard the past 10 years - it's why we have the damn playoff system we have now. Anybody that's ever played at a competitive level knows that it's difficult to beat the same team twice in one year unless they are extremely more talented. Bama has never had to do that in recent history - they're the only one to get that "benefit of the doubt".....the only one.

And, before any fan from another team chirps up about this, I can count on one hand the number of SEC teams who've played truly meaningful games versus Bama where it determined whether they vs. Bama would move on to a National Championship level game and then played each other again.....actually, I cannot think of anyone.

So they are saying that a loss to LSU doesn’t matter because the iron bowl is just a penciled in W for Bama?? That’s not how that series works at all!!

This would be fantastic if they lose to us thinking they got it made and the barn slaps em in the face with a “kick six” type finish again

The bullshite part of this statement is that if LSU only has one loss to #2 Alabama, they will 100% keep us out of the playoff.

This probably wont go over well, but LSU fans are such whiny counts.

The narrative all week long on national broadcasts has been that LSU can still easily make the playoffs with a competitive loss on the road at bama.

Strong possibility that the 4 playoff teams are Clemson, OSU, Bama and LSU.

Lsu is better poised to make the playoff with a loss than Bama is.

I think this is correct now that Oklahoma lost.

The one scenario that could burn them is LSU losing the SEC championship. Putting Alabama in over LSU in that scenario would be sketchy.

Correct. Saban knows this is the year LSU can win. He wonj't hold anything back.

Why is this board mad about Alabama making it to the playoffs?
Aren't there other things we could focus on like winning the matchup in two weeks?
You guys never fricking stop.

totally disagree - LSU is out if they don't win the Western Division and make the SEC Championship game - as it should be.

No whining here - just resigned to the way at least 50% of the nation's media slant their love toward Saban - only Bama gets that luxury.

Yeah, as fans, we really need to be focused for 11 more days to make sure we bring home the W and are prepared on gameday

Yeah and I bet he's close to 100%, if not all the way there.

He's back at practice tomorrow. He'll be fine.

Well you would be incorrect. You dont pay attention to the media or you are too sensitive. LSU is very very highly regarded by everyone nationally at this point.

Many people have said LSU can easily get in with a loss at Bama. And it's very obvious if you are actually eating attention to anything.

Wrong. There is a decent chance that this is how our tigers get in this year.

What about a 1 loss penn state team who’s only loss was to #2 Ohio State?

Right.

Saban is sandbagging.

Of course his plan is for bama to win and then the narrative is a hurt Tua beat the AP number one so Tua is more deserving of the Heisman than Burrow.

This is obvious, at least to me.

So let's reverse that. If Tua does play and LSU loses to Bama on the road, Bama will then become #1. If LSU wins out they have a better resume than most teams with wins over UF and Auburn, so LSU gets a payoff spot, right? By his logic it's a given unless there's somehow a "Bama bias".

Either way it doesn't matter. Until I see Tua in street clothes on the sideline, I'm convinced he'll play.

Those two things aren't related especially if Tua doesn't play against LSU but does against Auburn (that's the premise of this conversation).
