Nonsense. Tua will play. Zero doubt.

there would be an enormous amount of grief if Tua and his parent's prioritized the NFL over Alabama. Tuala would be gone, or never see the field. Whatever benefits have been allotted them would go away. To my knowledge there is no way to prove these benefits. But we all know that just packing up your life in Hawaii and moving to Ala-frickin-bama is neither cheap nor profitable.

It wouldn’t be the first time a one loss Bama team sat home ... rested and healed while LSU played in the SEC championship game. AND then played for the National Championship.

Bama will be a two loss team when LSU and Auburn get finished with them.

Honestly, I would probably put a one loss Penn State in over Oklahoma

To be sure, this is some journalist's take, trying to make news out of nothing.

Saban would certainly berate someone who asked him this or suggested that making the playoffs is a done deal at his press conference. He's going to put his best foot forward.

The article is correct. With or without Tua the game will be tight and even if we beat them by 14pts if Tua isn’t playing the committee will definitely take that into consideration. Bama wins out and I agree they are in.

Think about it if everything goes as chalk Clemson wins out, undefeated Big 10, undefeated SEC, and the all other contenders have one loss. Who are they going to pick other than Bama whose only loss came to the #1 ranked team in the country!

Bama is in with a loss and so would LSU be if they lost to Bama!

Committee would love to match up Tua against Hurts.

This is why it’s so important that we take care of business on our end. If we lose, getting in is far from a guarantee.

Burrow vs OSU doesn’t have the same marketing appeal as Tua vs Hurts.

A one loss LSU has a better chance and a more clear path to playoffs than Bama based on this writer's logic.

And, besides, Alabama can probably beat LSU with Jones at quarterback. The Tigers and Burrow didn’t even score on Alabama last season.

I love how everyone still thinks LSU’s 2018 offense = 2019 offense.

And it’s almost impossible to beat teams twice as talented as bama. If we beat them at their house they should miss the playoff. They don’t have the resume. AU should be able to eliminate them but Gus and that freshman are to bad on offense

While I’d agree that a one loss bama team would get in. That’s a gamble I don’t think nick will take.

Is the College Football Playoff committee going to punish Alabama for playing it safe with their star quarterback? No, it’s not because that would be cruel and set a reckless precedent.

Oh the horror of not including Alabama in the playoff. They should just have an automatic invite no matter what. Cruel?

Rest Assured, that call will be made by Coach Saban in the best interest of Tua....without exception. He is a man of character and will alway do whats in the best interest of one of his players...including Tua!!

Bama shouldn’t be too cocky. If LSU beats them, I wouldn’t be shocked to see Auburn beat them. Also a one loss Bama is not a lock to make the playoffs especially considering their schedule. Anyway, expect to see Tua out there unless he is missing a leg

I would laugh my arse off if they held out Tua thinking they have already made the playoff, then lost to Auburn

I don't even think Harvey Updyke would approve of what would happen in this scenario. they would burn the state to the fricking ground.

dear baby Jesus, please let this happen

War Eagle or whatever, Amen
