No, I don't think so. I do believe we beat one of them if we had used MVB in a few situations. If anything, It would've been doing something, anything, to break up the string of shite play from Nuss and offense as a whole.

False. We barely beat the worst defense in the SEC.

Am I the only guy that thinks that we’re overreacting?

I mean, he is good, but people are acting like he’s freaking Joe Burrow.

Barely beating the worst team in the SEC at home means he would have gone on the road and beat three ranked teams?

I don’t see it.

Some of y’all were so excited to see a new QB you’re convincing yourselves he is a huge upgrade. I’m glad LSU won, but let’s not act like MVB was the missing key all along. The offense is still bad.

If you are talking about his rushing capability... MVB's 10th Rush in the Arkansas game went for 35 yards to put him at a whopping 10 rushes for 36 yards total.

Our DEFENSE forced Vandy to punt TWICE in 4th qtr. Our OFFENSE did nothing with those precious possessions. We had our chances. At least that's what I saw watching the game. Any kind of offense and we win that game. Similar to Alabama and Ole Miss. Very frustrating after watching the way we moved the ball in 4th qtr against Arkansas. Play calling was AWESOME btw. Geaux Tigers!

When MVB signed here, I thought he would be used for RPO in short yardage situations. We definitely lost Ole Miss and Vandy because of missed opportunities when we settled for several field goals instead of TD's. While that was also an issue at Bama, there were other things, but definitely a winalble game

Still cannont figure out why MVB was not used in those situations when we struggled so bad to convert the numerous short yardages

And here we are with the Blake Ruffino takes. Its fine to acknowledge that MVB against the worst defense in the SEC arguably the country underperformed.

He did not play terribly but he didn't perform well. Blake Ruffino has this take and its a bad one. The offensive structure is terrible. The WR rotation is terrible. Blake has been killing Nuss all year but when MVB is inserted he brings up WR drops, bad routes, and OL blocking but when its Nuss he gets the blame.

Here is the fact of the matter regardless of who the QB is this season. The structure and system is bad and doesn't set either up for success. It is very hard to get into a rhythm with the amount of screens and bad route concepts we run. Its even harder when we tell a QB who feasts in the intermediate passing game over the middle to not turn the ball over. A mobile QB is inserted and hes asked to do basically the same shite. The amount of screens and bad passing concepts is appalling.

I hope MVB stays and continues to develop in a good offensive system but damn I am so tired of anyone not realizing how bad the Coaches did this season.

QB had a 158.9 passer rating, 2nd highest of any game for LSU all season. We ran 49 plays, defense couldn’t get off the field. We had 3 offensive possessions in the first half. Offense moved the ball at 6.6 ypp, clip, 2nd best this year besides the SLE game. Vandy ran 67 plays and punted twice.

And thats the problem. We didnt need Joe Burrow or Jayden out there to beat any of our loses.

We needed someone to push the ball downfield, escape the pocket when needed, and not make stupid decisions like throwing into triple coverage or right at a safety at the 2 yard line.

We BARELY beat Arkansas at home with MVB. I don't think he is a big upgrade from what Nuss has been this year. But maybe we win one of either OM or Vandy with him at QB, maybe.

Arkansas probably has one the worst if not the worst defenses in the SEC, and we were playing at home. Ole Miss, Vandy and Alabama were on the road which would have been very tough for MVB. Texas A&M gashed our defense at home so MVB would’ve needed to score 50 plus. The short answer is probably no additional wins.

Right. We only put 23 points on a 2-8 Arkansas who gave up 33 ppg. this was the fewest points they've given up in a loss this year.

All these people that pin it all on Nussmeier are have some kind of derangement about him. The OL is still bad. They are having to chip with the TE and RB a lot. It affects almost every pass play.

The biggest difference in this game over previous games is that LSU ran the ball with Berry/Durham combo 23 times. They both got over 10 carries. Ended up getting 5.1 ypc. The last few games we've had 1 get the bulk and get 5+ ypc but they end up giving up on it.

False! If
LSU could stop a mobile qb we
Would be undefeated! Trinidad Chablis, Pavia and Marcel Reed gutted us with qb runs. If
We could keep a mobile qb in the pocket we
Are undefeated even with a garbage offense!
