He played like dog shite even on some wide open throws. It might have been a “team loss” but he was the reason the team loss more than anyone else. That LB getting hurt really changed the game, but if Lawrence hits ANY of the open passes he had in the second half his “team” would have had a better chance to win. They wouldn’t have won but still.

Go back and watch that NC game with Bama when they blew Bama out...he had many completions with bad passes that his WRs made mind blowing catches one after the other that night in tight coverage...

He recruited the two best collegiate QBs of all time. Cam Newton and Joe Burrow. And he threw them both away like trash.

I thought Cam Newton stole a laptop and was kicked off the team.

Urban had a safety that got arrested for breaking and entering on a Friday night and played him against LSU on Saturday. He had a DTackle who popped 4 drug tests and he didn’t even suspend him. Urban was notorious for lack of discipline.

All the wins were because of him, but the losses were “Team Losses.”

No it didn’t. LSU was beating the piss out of them when he got booted.

It was 28-25 with 5:58 left in the 3rd quarter when he was booted. Hardly “beating the piss out of them”. Dude had 4 solo tackles a sack and 5 total tackles then. Give them some credit.

Have to agree on this. LSU was already first and goal even before the ejection. At best Skalski may have made a few plays to slow LSU down, but his ejection really didn’t effect the outcome of the game.

I'd like to see 2011 Bama and 2019 LSU

Or just Burrow and 2011 team vs Bama

That 2019 offense would score 50 on that team because those slow LBs would get CRUSHED by that short to intermediate passing game. It would be a track meet and Saban would have been wanting to quit like he did when Johnny Manziel ran all over his arse.

In fact there has been no Bama team that is close to this team ever when this team was in full health like they were towards the end of the season. I’m old enough to remember teams from the early 60’s and only one team compares in talent level and that is the Miami Hurricanes from early 2000’s with Reid, Johnson, and company but their QB was not Burrow and that is where the difference lies.

I was not impressed with him in the NC against us, and I wasn't impressed in both of the games against Ohio State. He looks the part, but he seems to disappear in those big playoff/championship games.

This kid won a national title as a true freshman and played well against LSU but just kept getting lit up. Y’all send giving that LSU defense enough credit.

They got smoked by Ohio state so he’s had like 2 bad games in 3 years. Which included a record amount of wins.

He was the reason they won a national title his first year

He was 14-1 with their only loss to the greatest team of all time his 2nd year.

Carried his teams to the playoffs again but ran into a buzz saw .

Finished with a

3-2 playoffs record
3 conference championships
1 national championship
Heisman finalist

And Lol to anyone saying they would t take him 1.

Then who would you take? The smaller, less talented QB that didn’t play a P5 school last year snd struggled in his games against ranked opponents? Or maybe the kid that played 17 games total at North Dakota state and.struggled in his only game this year? Or Mac Jones?

Please god someone say they would have taken Mac over Trevor....

No one on their team played well after the middle of the 1st quarter

They were so used to playing creampuffs that when they came up against a team that could match up with them athletically, they fell apart.

LB was ejected for dirty play. Not hurt.

Kid was a baller for sure though.

Skalski got kicked out after LSU had completed a pass to make it first and goal. Whether he is in the game or not, in all likelihood, LSU scores on that drive at that point and goes up by 10. Clemson doesn’t score the rest of the game. Skalski doesn’t play on offense. So yeah, the outcome doesn’t change, with LSU winning by 10 points or more (17 as it turns out).

I agree.
Everything went his way against Bama. DBs falling over and Tua not playing well. WHile LSU played a good game all around.

definitely a team loss.

the coaching staff failed to produce as well.
Ettiene? LSU defence showed up despite the critics.

Absolutely, LSU was better. I would have loved to see the 2018 Clemson team vs the 2019 LSU team play.

I would like the 2019 LSU Team play Bama's team from last year. I've heard Bama fans here in NW Florida saying last year's Bama team was the GOAT. Perhaps Bama fans are in denial (is there a 12-step program for sports fans?).
